Hi Kevin
Thanks for your insight into Aerotech's A3200 motion control systems.
Did you use Aerotech's CNC operator interface on your 3 axis milling machine?

Thanks for the reply post.
It's very quiet in the Aerotech A3200 CNC world!
Hoping someone is familiar with Aerotech's CNC Operator Interface software.
Anyone set up a multi axis system?
Anyone currently using this software?
Anyone doing any milling?

If you are generating a lot of very small 3D moves in your gcode, WinCNC does a better job at present.

That is one insightful review of a Brigdgeport 308.

I wonder what heepofajeep did wind up purchasing? If anything.
Just noticed that it has been over 3 months since the start of this thread and he has not logged back on in the meantime.
You need to at least look at what a lot of machinists/companies are buying. Brother owns about 30% and Fanuc/RoboDrill owns about 60% market share in the small VMC market.
Look at Brother TC-S2C and Fanuc Robodrill machines.

Great info on converting all those Spectralight cnc machines that are always bought without a interface card.

Looking forward to your posts since I want to use the same Yaskawa SGDH drives with a Kanalog / Dynomtion controller.

Does anyone know if the WinCNC used in the super high quality German made Datron milling machines is the same WinCNC from MicroSystems?
You could always buy a ironworker die in any square size needed. Might be cheaper than buying the tool steel you would need.
Very inexpensive way to go. Check Ebay.

Great looking conversion.
Minitech in the USA makes a small 5-axis desktop machine.
You might want to try Starrett Precision Ground Flat Stock.
Comes in 1" x 3" x 36" pieces. They also sell 18" long sizes.
Several choices of steels.
Terminator,
You might want to post your question at Practicalmachinist.com.
They have a Deckel specific forum. Lots of good info on anything Deckel.

Randy,
The water based coolant will seep past the seals and into the headstock bearings.
Not good for giving the bearings a long life.

Tony,
Thanks for taking a practical and common sense approach to license transfers.
Most people overlook this when deciding which software to purchase.
