I am unable to transfer a file I got from the control back to the control.
The control says OSP500L-G. Guy I bought it from said it’s a 1986 LB12. It definitely has the green monochromatic screen. I haven’t found any graphics or trace. The machine is new to me. I’d really...
I'm having a heck of a time getting my OSP500L-G green screen LB12 to communicate via RS-232. I can send from the control to the DNC Pro and it works every time. I can a myriad of errors whenever I...
I'm looking for an operator and electrical manual for a Rebel 1 with Fanuc 0-M control. Does anyone have them to share? I'll happily pay for it!
Finally getting to wiring in the new control. It’s a lot in a small space.

Centroid has a low pressure alarm and a low pressure shutdown input that this can be wired to.
This exact thing happened to a buddy of mine. Code enforcement was happy when he installed the laser filtration system sold by Boss laser. Wasn’t cheap, but it solved the problem.
My laser...
You need to set the max speed to 8000 rpm, like the nameplate says. And the max frequency needs to be correct, too. 267hz, if I recall correctly. Also make sure voltage is set to 200v. Nothing higher.
What do you have for the speed and frequency settings in the vfd?
Please post a photo of the motor nameplate.

It has more info. Specifically my reasons for going with DMM Servos and Acorn. Feel free...
Just replace the existing VFD with a quality VFD and program the output for the needs of the Delta 20.

I installed new servos, spindle drive and controls on my J-425. I'm really happy with the outcome. Bob at ZPS has parts, manuals, etc for these machines. I've had great success working with Bob.

The side of the mill control panel has an existing opening with a small cover. I mounted the new control pc behind this opening. This leaves the front panel of the NUC CNC PC accessible. It's on the...
Finally finished a few adjustments on the servo mount. All went together nicely. I’m new to this cnc machining. Overall, quite happy with it. Bonus is, it will do the job! On to the next.

Hitachi has a single phase rating pdf for their new SJ P1 drives. I have one on my Tree Journeyman 425’s 5hp spindle. It has worked out well. Happy to share what I’ve learned.
Some trading with a buddy resulted in this guy coming home the other day..

Thank you! I'm always open to offers ;)
Had an issue where I thought my Z axis was accumulating error. After the suggestion from the Centroid forum, I checked if I was losing steps between Acorn and DYN4. I had been through this before on...
Very fair point. I'm expanding my business into prototyping a product I'm developing. It did take some time(a couple months) to get the machine up and running. This fit my budget, and I was happy to...
I bought a Tree J-425 for scrap value, replaced the control, new AC servos, new spindle drive and so on myself. I have around $9k in the machine and it's up and running. Dialed everything in and it's...
I have a Logic Trace board. When you need it, it’s worth the cost!
I believe a previous owner built them. They are quite nice and do a good job of helping contain chips. The base bolts to table front and back, and to the table ends in the T slots. When I got the...
Started making some chips. Looks like I need to dial in the turns/inch a bit better. I may have forgotten to check it and dial it in. Things are looking good otherwise.

I'd love the mechanical, parts diagrams, etc! How do I get a copy?
