Something doesn't add up. I don't think that those settings would just inadvertently change. Has anything changed as far as the printer port settings? It's been too long since I have messed with it.
I will try to get some pics but haven't had a lot of time to work with it although what i have done with it has been faultless. YouTube ycm40 Mach 3 and there is video of the last I cut I believe. I...
And the Campbell board the original transformer and servo motors as well as the original 12v transformer. Can pretty much everything else except wiring and read read read. I tried to document all of...
You lost me on this part. Are you talking if I were to be cutting an angle piece?
<For ramping into the part in Z, you can feed the tool down into the part very nicely at no more than 3 degrees...
Btw my porter cable router don't take long to heat up even when doing nothing.
I know, I'm too new at the supermax to even know the numbers. I cut a 3.93 in hole in a 1.5" thick piece of aluminum with a .750 2 flute and was used to a Cnc router running at 10k rpm so thought the...
Going to take some getting used to. Also the mill speed how slow is too slow. Seems too fast won't allow the bit to clear itself? Had one plug up on me and couldn't figure out why it was acting so...
Searched forums and I suppose I am the only human that doesn't know this, but my main issue right now with my YCM-40 converted to MACH-3 CNC mill is how to clamp a big piece down so that it don't...
I have a pc router also so I'll fire it up tonight and see if it gets what I'd call hot
Yep, I've been there also. It seems the slower you go the more possibility of the chips load being too low and not keeping the bit clean, OTOH, the bit gets plugged and breaks faster when going fast...
Sounds as though the bit is loading up and therefore friction heating the material How are you chucking an 1/8" bit in that router? I'd like to try it. Wayne
Sure enough Robert, reducing the tolerance did it. I upgraded to v4 also and will possibly mess with the define region. Thanks so much for the quick response and excellent software! Wayne
Hi all, Have an STL that when converting to G-code and there are two slots in the piece that are .135 wide and .5 deep and when converting it the one slot is coded but it acts as though the other...
After running a relay for the contactor instead of running the 110v up to the ESD switch no more e-stops! Now on to figuring out how to control the VFD with the Campbell BOB plus. Wayne
Found out that the E-stop was inducing 35 volts into the contactor solenoid wires that also run up to the e-stop switch in the same cable AARGH. Then I'll mess around with the Mach3 BOB controlling...
LK, You hit the nail on the head. after checking voltages and doing a bunch of re-wiring to re-confirm correct 220v 110v and stray ground loop voltages I finally found about 30 volts of induced...
how did you figure out the e-stop when starting the spindle as that is what is happening on my machine right now. I can have only the Campbell board powered up and reset the button and as soon as I...
I can have only the Campbell board powered up and reset the button and as soon as I start the VFD, it triggers an E-stop. Tried moving the BOB away from the VFD but still happens. Any Ideas?
Hey lr, was wondering if you ever figured out the e-stop when starting the spindle as that is what is happening on my machine right now. I can have only the Campbell board powered up and reset the...
And I will post this only after saying this. CHANCES ARE SLIM TO NONE THAT THIS WILL EVEN REMOTELY RUN YOUR MACHINE!!!!! Watch these Three YouTube clips

three new videos offer a little more detail on my mill HTH Didn't edit the video so don't fall asleep!
first link is up, the other two should be the same place. Wayne

Yep, had 220 going to the transformer . re wired and replaced the fuse set and it is working again. Actually cut my first piece last night! Everything worked great with the exception of a phantom...
Hey hjl4, just getting some time to stop by here again. Do you think from this side of it that the step by step video would be a good idea? Finally got time to fire everything up on the YCM-40 up...
Anyone want to rent a teenage daughter for about 8 years? FINALLY got everything together last night, running the head with the VFD and fire everything up, G-code loaded, turn on the power for the...
Converting the Annie to mach3 using viper 200's pc2route BOB and endorses runs about 1500 tops. The thing is you guys are asking for trouble trying to use the glass scales instead of encoders. It...
mine also is the boxy one however the table is inverted I.E. the motor is on the r.h. side as is the crank. Wierd
As soon as I get some time from all of the stuff life is throwing at me, I will be able to FINISH THE STORY! Have the vfd mounted and partially wired but that is as far as I have got. I'll be back...
I bet they are not encoders in there if it was running the Annie hardware. Take the end plate off of the motor and there is probably 4 brushes in the end section that need to be discarded. HTH Wayne
Sweet stuff dude! Could I talk you into sending me the g-code for the router attachment? I've thought of doing that for quite some time now. If not, I'll draw one up someday. :) Thanks much, Wayne
