I will recommend RDC6442G controller, it is the latest version and the technical engineers have optimized it several times, it has much less BUG.

I know many cnc machine use mach 3 software.
but usually, non-metal laser cutter don't use it, because this machine only have 3 axis(x, y, z)

2. check the laser power supply works or not.
if controller and power supply is no problem, maybe your laser tube...

when you complete the case of machine, you still need the controller, power supply(24 and 36V), laser power supply, laser tube, focus lenses and reflective mirrors(install on guide rails),...

why not post some pictures of your machine?
