Can use same thread cycle. Just move your start point over 1/2 lead and shorten thread length. You can actually use a regular turning tool or I like to use grooving insert for the thread cycle on...
Jerry,
I noticed you in the Onecnc forum. How is that working for you?
If you choose to get the captain, spend a little extra and get the big bore.
All we have is Okuma's. They are great machines. Solidly built, easy to program. If it's within your price range I don't think you'll go wrong going with Okuma.
I appreciate all your help. Your quick response puts my resellers reply to shame! Or should I say lack of reply!
Thanks so much

Looking at setting up Networking for our machines. So far I've looked at Multi-Cnc and Predator. Anyone using these?
Is there anything out there better? Your suggestions please.
Usually Pipe Thread Wll Gage On 3-4 Turns. Eg 11.5 Tpi =.087 Per Turn. 3-4 Turns Would Be .261 To .348 Inches.or You Can Get Machinists Handbook Out And Look At Engagement Lengths On Chart.
We need to cut a .5 tpi thread. Our lathe only goes down to 1 tpi. Is it possible to somehow change the gearing to achieve this? Anyone know how to calculate this?
Thanks in advance
