Have finals coming up in school Vac :( ?
Are you going to buy a driver or make your own?
Have you checked the current of your controller? Maybe the motor uses up more current than the power supply provides
Do you have a magnet anywhere near it? Sometimes that distorts the EM field
Hi All,
Does anyone know what a switching amplifier (for pwm) is for servo drivers?
If anyone has any schematics for it I would be truly grateful
thanks,
Tei
How ironic
Some more nice work Vac! How is software research coming?
Don't get me wrong. I am very happy with my NEMA 23's, but they do have their limitations. For example: if I want to make a large router, I would have to go with NEMA 34's and they are pretty...
To all the EE geniuses out there, I have a request for information,
Do any of you have any knowledge into circuit design of servo motor drivers. My dream is to have a system that uses servo...

Highseas, you are a real smart guy... A man with the plan
I think the way that your .pdf file explains it is perfectly. So now what we need to do is start the "project teams" which can work out...
So with this in mind, why can't we try and recruit more women to groups like this? I have met young women that are at LEAST as smart as their male counterparts (remember the chimpanzee's swinging...
This is definetely a great guide to use as a template for a "newbie guide to CNC"
The connections between each subchapter are very important in forging a newfound understanding for CNC but I think...
I have tried to use MCmasters nozzles but most of the good ones require pretty high pressure from what I remember
High Seas, thanks for the compliments- I'll look for that software and put my .png file in the downloads section...
I think that those survey questions are great and they should give us some idea of what people want to see
hey Paul (CNCadmin), could you set us up some kind of survey like that??
Thanks,
Tei
High seas, sorry to take away the glory:)
I made this before I saw that you had made a better one
its pretty disorganized but it can be made much better with proper software
It can be seen here:...
Thanks:)
now i know the details involved. To bad I don't have a grinder :(
You would have to use a 4th axis rotary indexer that cuts the top, rotates it 60 degrees around, cuts again, rotates...etc...
How did you take off the outer coil? Isn't it epoxied together?
Good luck with the steel Vac
At your rate it looks like you might be able to finish the mechanics of it today. Then onto designing the print head...
I think that the 3 groups consisting of mechanical, electrical and software ( Ferenczyg has a point that this can be ommited) sounds like a good idea but I still feel like we need to have a group...
Yeah, I say we definetely have some type of standardized measurement, or we might end up with Nasa's Mars attempt a couple years ago :)

Please nominate some people that we can use to organize the Cad plans. If we get a lot of results,...
Yeah, this would fit the $$ category. But it will also be effective cutting aluminum and not limited to wood cutting
With highseas' data, we can figure out the best tactic to take so that we can come up with an effective set of plans
