Hi,
I’m would like to incorporate a timer into a program.
I’m activating an external loading system. If there is an issue and the load cycle is not completed (no MFIN) within 5 seconds I’d...
It runs fine without the G103. I also put the loader code in another sub called from the main program. So far things are working fine.
Thanks,
Tom
@metalmayhem, your hunch was correct. The problem was testing the program in graph mode. With the program actually running things work fine.

Hi,
The machine is a 2012 ST-10. We will be integrating a stand alone loading system. The loader will be told to start its cycle with "M51". That relay will be reset with "M61". The main program...
Hi All,
We just got a new to us 2012 ST-10. I'll be running some jobs that will require a small (.030) drilled hole in the end of a shaft.
I want to use a pneumatic drill spindle mounted in a...
Hi-
We have an 840D on a lathe. I would like to use an R parameter to write a value to a tool offset.
We use a parametric program to run a family of parts. The tool nose radius of my insert...
Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to go ahead and do this with macro and a sub. I am going to set it up so entering a part number drives everything. To answer someone's question, there are...
I'm not sure what model 18T I have.
Actually, I think the best solution would be to send this variable to the sub via the macro that will send the other part to part variables. I'm working with...
What sketchy documentation I do have says G10 is date setting.
If I write the value to G54 I loose the original number and won't be able to just have the operator enter his part stick out into...
Control is 18T.
I want to assign Z wear offsets for my tools via parameters in my program. I want to accommodate varying part lengths from the chuck face. I could set tool geometry like this...
Since I have 14 parts in the family so far and a minimum of 5 variables per part, I need 70 lines just to write variables. Possibly add 2 more variables because I probably forgot some stuff and I'm...
Hi-
I have a family of 14 parts that I will be using some type of parametric programming to produce. There are 5 variables that will have to be set for each part.
I was going to use multiple...
Essentially I guess I'm wanting to do hobbing.
Ultimately I'd like to do two things. Have the A axis rotate thru 60 degrees for each rotation of the spindle and maintain the relationship between the spindle orientation and A zero. With the...
As near as I can tell this hasn't been asked for a couple of years so I'll throw it out there. Can the spindle of a Haas ( or another brand mill) be synchronized with the A axis? If the spindle can...
