Hi, you most certainly can. The shield was designed to work with the A4988 drivers. Are you able to move the machine from the control panel at all?

GRBL Controller is only compatible up to v0.9. I use GRBL1.1 with the Autodesk Fusion 360 plugin by tapnair and UGS Platform. If you use Autodesk Fusion 360, I highly recommend this....
