Do you still have Sw on your comp.
Bob has lost sight of it.
I wish it were that easy but no. When Googled I can find how to do it in later versions i.e. those designated 20** which seems easy.
Many years ago I set up IV11 so that when a new part was started the UCS (model) triad had Z UP and not pointing left. For the life of me I cannot recall how this was done. Anyone any ideas.
thanks
Sorry I mean dongleless.
I still have a couple of old V23 dongles.
V25 is electronic registration.
We, the company, own two copies of Bob V25, electronic dongle versions. Well one copy with two licenses.
One copy is installed on my works computer the other on my home computer. Both are...
I like syntax highlighting........it's far easier to see what's what when scrolling through the code. Red for Z, Green for Feed etc etc
In my mind I have a problem with N6, the G43 aspect on a line with a Z move. Should it be G41 or 42. Maybe remove the G43 H1 D1, leave the Z1 and try a dry run (Z0 set at +100mm).
This should allow...
Yes, it should be LEAKS.
As stated you need to include DIAM_OFFSET in your header
i.e.
(BEGIN PREDATOR NC HEADER)
(DIAM_OFFSET 1= 0.25)
(DIAM_OFFSET 2= 0.3)
(END PREDATOR NC HEADER)
where 1, 2 etc match Tool number
While I know there are comments that it is doing what it is supposed to do, that may well be but while it is doing this its wasting time and money.
Back in the 1990's I had what was probably the...
It looks like you are using the std PP as I am but with a few mods.
I have tried, without success as yet, to modify the PP lines 28, 50 and 51 to include a G91 Z0 not forgetting to add G90 in...
It's too near my V25 upgrade.
Yes, I did realise this aspect but we do not use G54, G55 etc on our machine. I also have a slight case of OCD to everything, items must sit square on a table, shoes lined up, books run tallest left,...
Fortunately, using Solidworks and Inventor I always consider moulds or parts at an early stage as to where X0Y0Z0 is going to be. Once imported there is no movement required.
Material aside how do you plan to mill the sharp corner....
Your 2cents is correct IMHO either solid electrode or better still 3D wire.
OK thanks all, I assume then that it is the line number that's important.
I have been tidying up my pp and noticed a few typos between lines 200 and 831. I think, recall, this was the standard pp before I modified and renamed it.
My question is, can we correct or even...

I think I may have just forgotten to add Top of Job....
Thanks Burr for both posts, after 100+ moulds using Z level rough to remove 95% of the material it's still a learning curve. I do not use it for finishing but leave that to Planar features.
Maybe...

Sorry no bccd files. Must learn how to do that.
Also sorry again but the sprus are programmed by the machine operator in MDI mode. These are normally done before he machines the cavity which is...
Thanks for all the replies and yes sorry we moved to metric here in the UK some time back.
I was at home when I had the time to talk about the problem in more depth so could not upload the file.

No, the top surface is what we term the joint line, and Z0 datum for machining. ie take a sphere/square and cut it precisely in 2 at its centre line.
It is standard 3D Z level roughing.
A...
I have been using V25 a while now and cannot recall this happening in V23.
I always rough out with ball nosed cutters because the majority of our moulds are small and in this case it's a 4mm ball....
This was discussed a while back.
The Pred that comes 'free' with Bob is a cut down version and will only officially run through Bob.
That is what I do but for long strings it can be very time consuming.
It reminds me of the early Autocad (and others) where they plotted out in relation to when the lines/features where drawn. The...
G53-G54-G55-G56
I suppose I should have added I have not, as yet, had cause to go back to V23.
I (we) have and was it worth it.....yes if only for the Simulate aspect and the fairly cheap upgrade. I still run through predator for the final program.
I only use the 3D features and it seems...
