A prameter would be good, just which one? I'm not interested in bypassing any saftey interlocks, I just want it to work like it did before the software update!:(
Hey Gang,
About a month ago we installed a keep relay for a remote m-code indexer and also had to upgrade the software in the machine.....Well everything works fine except for the fact I can't get...

Trust me, I will be dry running this part away from the chuck......need one of those anal activated e-stops though!
Hey guys!

I'm confused here, there just doesn't look like there's enough clearance between the tools in the quad holder to do larger diameter parts......so a y axis shift (up and down)? to switch tools??? ...
Found out the card reader on the shop PC was bad! Saved the same file on another PC and the machine read it no problem........I do wish that Fanuc would use USB ports though, I wonder how long...
Thanks for your quick reply Neil, I was hoping you would chime in here, excuse my ignorance, but how do I format the card in the machine?
We have tried many different card manufactuers and sizes...
Card reader problems, Fanuc OI-MC…….
Weird problem, we’ve been through 5 memory cards over the past year or so since the machine was new (2216 FX) . The card works fine for a while and then for...

Nice! you guys spent some serious bucks for those.........and you won't regret a dime of it! congrats!
Good info Kyle, I had heard that the sync codes were an issue as far as code output from MC........The MT machines look very intimidating!
Did you write your MC post or did you buy it? How clean is the code?
just wondering, sounds kinda tricky!
Cool! so it works ok for say y axis pockets??? does your machine have interference check? Lots of stuff moving around on the ZT machines!
How many of you Mori users are using the Mapps/Caps programming to make your parts??? I find that I use it for almost everything lately! Sure saves time.....Anyone using it for turn-mill...

rickyt,
too bad about your Fadal rep because I think the Fx's are really good bang for the buck....Anyone that is considering buying one should really spend the extra $$$ (I think about 6k) for...
2216 FX…….
Yep, we got one about 8 months ago and we really like it! I’ve been hesitant to post anything on this forum because it seems like an “FX wipping post”…..We got about 400 hours of cut...
Oops! sorry, it was the z axis way cover causing the problem! this was an early 80's vintage machine, 4 axis......the x axis didn't have any covers....
Check your x axis way guards, we had a mori tl-1 and had the same problem, one of the telescopic guards got jammed causing a huge x axis taper!
Is this for an FX machine with a Fanuc oi-mc control??
We just got a 2216FX about a month ago and I was wondering the same thing about a Haas Rotary head....We have an old S5c unit on our other machine that must be 15 years old and it still works good!...
Try using a single flute 60 deg countersink, MA fords work really good in stainless steel, they seem to be stronger than say a carbide d-bit.....
