Check circuit board on lower left of control cabinet there are 3 5amp fuses approx 1" x .25"
sounds like your tool change height is out of adjustment. the orientation should be ok since it probably has the shot pin orientation and if it changes tools without a tool in there, the tool may be...
there is another setting to change to identify the model number of the axis along with the 4th axis enable setting. not sure of the # but it is clearly labeled on the screen if you scroll thru it.
it will allow you to move the arm in recover if you are in debug mode on the newer haas machines
not sure display for a what year and size screen you have but ive taken apart a 2010 haas monitor for a bad backlight and pretty much impossible the bulbs are L shaped and are buried in the monitor.
we had a similar problem once on a vf2 was actually the tool release piston hanging up which was locking up the spindle. I don't recall the exact problem but we did think it was a spindle or motor...
sounds like bad vector drive. watch the diagnostic screen page two for vector drive volts when you first start it up probably reads real low and slowly climbs until the alarm clears until finally...
if this is a newer haas you can use the manual tool change recovery method like the older ones if you do the recovery in debug mode
probably bad regulator on your precharge valve. the precharge brings the tool release cylinder down until it it makes contact with the drawbar to reduce the popping sound of the tool change, the...
we use one for engraving there are a few user available m codes i think m51-m54 is on and m61-m64 is off there are taps on the top left of the main i/o board that you can use to hook up an air valve.
try cleaning the screen real good happens to us sometimes usually just dirt or coolant on screen.
if the chuck close light does come on there may also be a chuck close pressure switch that is adjustable or faulty
If you have thru spindle coolant sometimes the rotary union on top goes bad and makes it sound like a bad spindle. it only takes about 20 minutes to drop the spindle and check it, the coupling, and...
sounds like maybe the orientation shot pin is not fully releasing.
we have had to replace the brushes in that motor on some machines. Maybe you might want to check that.
I think if you press system key, then pmc, then pmcdgn, then status soft key or something to that effect. type in D000 and search it displays the alarm number on this screen. there labeled like al24...
the pallet unclamp is seperate from the table clamp if it stops at an M11 there is a pressure switch that needs to be adjusted. looking at the back of the machine with the access cover off it should...
when there is a problem with the pallet changer or stops in the middle of a pallet change for some reason the counter defaults to zero and will not do a pallet change. if you type in m60 it just sits...
does the machine know which pallet is in the machine? counter #20.
when the tool changer begins its motion there is a precharge valve that opens which brings the release piston down to the drawbar then another set of valves open when the tool changer hits the limit...
there is a small transformer up by your main breaker that is dual voltage you may have to change that one also.
Haas has a unique set-up they are dc amps with dc output made to look like a/c to drive an a/c motor. it is something to do with duty cycle, they cycle the dc to get the 50 hz waveform. The dc power...
we use Nikken indexers on some of our Haas machines.
How much drawbar pressure do you have?
p
You could try jumping the sensor directly on the I/O board I thin it is P-19 I am not at a machine now.
Is there a prox sensor to orient the spindle. We get this alarm on our live tooling if the prox is out of adjustment when it orients.
We have had a few failures on some machines, now as soon as we get a new haas in the first thing we do is slow the arm down and hadn't had a problem since doing this. It is not noticable in the cycle...
I can't see the valve in your picture but sometimes there is a cone shaped diverter for the precharge it is silver maybe two inches long there is a rubber diaphram inside if this is torn or warped it...
we have 13 Haas machines ranging from 1992 to 2009 and I have never had an x axis way cover problem just an occasional z cover problem. I would guess your problem maybe be coolant related?
