The amp that intermittently lights up is failing. You will need to replace it.
There should be a PAGE SAVE button or maybe a SELECT ALL
If the system disk loads every time you power on, then you need to leave the disk in. If you want to have the disk out, then you need to make sure the large motorcycle battery is good.
These disks can be bought from Mitsubishi

The unit has received an emergency stop. What is the condition of the servo drive(s)? Also E7 or something else?
Looks like something may be wrong with the inverter. These are quite old units and Mits does not even repair them anymore. You can upgrade to a replacement unit from Mits.
I think this means you have the Auto-tuning parameter on. I can't remember which one it is off the top of my head but it will be in the manual. Just turn it off and cycle power.
This procedure does not load a file to the cassette.
I'm in Vaughan and I hope to start building a hobby CNC this summer or earlier. I fix CNC machines for a living, but having one of my own to tinker with should be fun. Nothing too large...maybe 2...
You need the RAM cassette.
You can also just send your #26 file to Mits and they can program a new cassette for you.
QX531 is only on a 500 series control, not an M50. Also, it is an I/O board, not the CPU.
Did you load parameters?
This is not the complete alarm. Check the alarm page for the actual Operation Error code.
Make sure all parameters including cutting conditions and tool offsets are in.
This is an Option that you must buy from Mitsubishi. Even if you get all the hardware and cabling necessary, the function will not work without the option being turned on.
This looks like a 300 series control.
MEAU stocks these batteries. Stick with the Ni-Cads
Try calling Mitsubishi Electric for technical support. I've called the guys in the Canadian office before and they've been more than helpful. Can't say enough good things about them.

Is there an alarm displayed on the FR-SF spindle drive??
The SPH drive is compatible, but not the SPM.
things to check before swapping this out:
1) disconnect all cables on the front of the spindle drive and then power on the main breaker to see if...
You probably just need to reset the home position. MR-J2 parameters do not get lost if the battery voltage drops.
You will need to use the MR-J2 software to do an "ABS REPAIR".
If you lost the battery then your SRAM is messed up. You need to initialize and then re-load all data.
Does the spindle even try to rotate?? If not, maybe the Z200 drive is not getting the run signal.
Mitsubishi will sell it to you. I believe the new model which replaces yours is RT-6XC-11.

This is not entirely true. Mitsubishi can sell you this option easily. I've had it done. The guys in the Canadian office are always very quick to help and can quote you within minutes.
The...
Replace the batteries on the servo drives if they're equipped with them. Then carry out the zero return procedure again.
These option parameters are not changeable by the user.

Alarm 71 on the spindle is actually a CV unit alarm. it only appears on the spindle because it is linked to the power supply via CN4 cable. You'll notice that the CV unit will display an alarm...
Does the spindle attempt to rotate in open loop or doesn't rotate at all?? How about closed loop, does it attempt to rotate?? Since you're blowing IGBT's it may be possible you have an open phase...
Memory re-formatting will not erase machine parameters so you're safe. It will clear all machining programs, offsets, tool reg. The machine will still be operational. If you have RS-232 working,...
