Yeah, when I do that I get the same result. The copied image shoes up but I can't explode it. So it remains a single entity and I can't edit individual lines.

Right now I'm controlling my LJ-II/III steppers directly from my parallel port and a L297/8 driver. I can feel the motors knock or Jerk even though they may not miss any steps.

The AC cord is just an old computer power cable I had laying around. The cord does have a shielding inside it. And now that I look closer it even says "shielded" printed on it.

Does that hold true even for signals that are held high or low? For example the direction signal should be either 0 or 5V. I assume it is held high or low for the duration of the commanded...

This could be a stupid question but when you measure the voltage on your parallel port with your multimeter shouldn't you see the standard 0/5v signals or therebouts?
