Finally solved the issue the spindle parameters in the Fagor 8055 controller needed to be changed, 4 parameters called MAXGEAR1, 2, 3, 4 were set to 24000, that info relates to the 0-10vdc reference...

Ok I was so sleepy before, after reading your initial reply. On the 2 pole motor it ran 24k rpms @200Hz, 380v, and the amperage should be near the 18A max in the 2 pole motor.

You just hit on something, I think i set max rpm at 24k in parameters, I'm going to change it to 12k. Will let you know if it works

yep, changed that parameter, only ones I thought I need to change was the poles and freq, but there must be something else.

i just received a quote for having 2 of these made, $600 a piece. Time to find another method for creating bevel. I am going to try and use a t-slot cutter and tilt the cnc router head 20 degrees.

It is sort of a dovetail but diameter is 3.25 inches and the angle is 80 degrees, I have been unable to locate anything even close to that.

Well after searching through 4 years of purchase orders I found out where it came from. We had this tool custom made by a guy that is no longer in state.
