    Fixturing

I’m just curious as to what others are doing to locate and square their materials and fixtures squarely in the machine? Can one make a “tooling” plate from their spoil board and have pieces turned...

Re: Can't Find Good Telecaster CNC Files

The dxf files are out there as well as models. You’ll have a hard time finding g code since every machine as well as machinist, hobby or not, do things differently

    Re: Planning new machine

Ger21, I haven’t really decided yet but if I went this route I’m pretty sure I could get away with 2 pieces of 2x4 extruded aluminum profile bolted together in an L shape

    Re: Planning new machine

Space is at a premium so I think a moving table will be out of the question. I don’t need aerospace precision since I’d predominantly be using it for wood crafts for the mrs to hopefully sell at...

    Re: Planning new machine

I'm going to try and work on some drawings this weekend but pretty sure i have a plan. For gantry plates I am thinking of 0.500" 6061, vertical of course, that will bolt with socket cap bolts to a...

    Re: Fusion 360 radius dish

I'm not sure about the solids in Fusion but there is bound to be a similar function. All told, the way i did it took me about 5 minutes or so as well.

I haven't got any plans yet and want to...

    Re: Fusion 360 radius dish

There are many ways to skin a cat. What I ended up doing was making a rectangle that was 0.75” tall and 24” long. I then made a vertical line and used the tangent and centerline functions to place it...

    Re: Fusion 360 radius dish

I haven't got the style down that i want to build yet but I'm most likely going with a grand auditorium style body and then doing a cantilevered neck.

I realize i could buy one cheaper than making...

    Planning new machine

I’ve been lurking for a while and pretty sure I got the boss lady talked into a cnc router. Eventually I would love a 4x8 work area but figure I’d start smaller first and if I feel the need to go...

    Fusion 360 radius dish

I’m new to fusion 360 and relatively new to cad in general. I’m attempting to model a radius dish and am sure it’s something simple but it has me stumped. Basically it’s a 24” circle that’s 0.75”...

    Re: Problem regarding choosing hardware

ankur27, if you are looking for redibuilt solid platforms you can look at a panasonic toughbook. You should be able to get someone local to build you a purpose built system at a really reasonable...

    Planning ahead!!!

A little background to start. My son and I both play instruments, him the bass and me(hey, making noise is playing right?) the guitar. After running across another forum and a build thread, I...
