I know. These leadshine steppers I use are closed loop. They have encoders and never had any issue with loss of steps or accuracy. I just want to build the new bigger machine with much higher speeds.

Thanks for the answer. I have been considering this too. That at high rpm there is not significant difference... Maybe I will need servo motors for my application? But I have no clue of how to setup...
Got it.
Thanks again
Thanks for the answer. The operation lasts a few seconds. You think it is enough to create a problem?
Hi guys.
I am bringing back the topic.
Is it safe to run 6 and 8 mm drills at 3000rpm or lower to drill wood with the 2.2kw chinese watercooled spindle? The drilling operation I need is one 8mm...
Hi guys. I posted this on Leadshine forum but didn't get any answer so I decided to post this here too.
I already have a machine on which I am using Leadshine ES M22430 motors with 3nm torque and ES...
Guys any thoughts???
Hi guys.
I already have a machine on which I am using Leadshine ES M22430 motors with 3nm torque and ES D808 Drives. The machine is a CNC gantry and I use 20mm ballscrews with 5mm thread pitch.
The...
Thanks for all the info. This is way out of my budget. You have been very helpful! :-)
The valves I linked earlier won't equally distribute the lubricant to each bearing. If it gets way too expensive I guess I can add only the lines and guide them together to one single spot and make...
Also can you tell me what lines to get for using grease, either with hand gun or if I add a pump? What inner diameter and what fittings? I think my bearings use m6 thread for the grease nipples.
Yeah I understand this. I was just wondering if I can add a pump that can work with grease and just push a button to grease up the machine instead of using the grease gun every time.
I work with wood and the bearings from the gantry will leak onto my work pieces if I use so much oil. Maybe it is better to keep using grease and have it send grease just enough to come out fo the...
The oil has to leak so much that it drops to the floor? Won't this create a mess? Can't I just adjust the flow so it won't leak so much?
Thanks for the info!
I have made some research and I don't have a very big budget. I have found this valve.

I am thinking of getting 2 pieces of 8...
Hi guys!
Don't know if this is the correct forum category to post this thread.
I use a grease gun to lubricate all the ballnuts and linear guide bearings on my cnc router and I was thinking if I...
Thanks for the info
I want to drive 3mm tool to take light cuts on stainless. Like 0.3mm stepdown passes.
I have run it at 6000 rpm very often.
Anyone has any info?
Hi guys
I have a 2.2kw water cooled spindle and my vfd is the askpower 131. I attach the manual of my vfd.
I have been dropping it as low as 100hz which means 6000rpm. I would like to know if I can...
Great. Thanks for the info guys.
One last question about this board. I read on a couple of auctions this.
"Can be accessed by a common cathode or common anode input level to 5V drive."
Does...
Got it. So from what I understand the output pins are sinking and that is why the connections on the stepper drives on the diagram are reversed from y current board which has sourcing outputs?
Hmm, seems like you might be right. So the only way to power the board seems to be the usb port and the 2 5v are sources to power something else.
1) So do you know why it has 2 5v pins and a ground? Do you have to connect 5v+ to both 5v pins? This is what confuses me.
3)So pwm pin is not needed? Just 0-10v pins should be connected to the...
Hi Al.
I know about the relay for controlling spindle start and stop. I was talking about the 0-10v output used to control spindle speed. All the wirings I have seen online show just the 0-10v...
I am back with some good news. The new board arrived today. After installing the new one everything seemed to work fine but after some testing I found out one input signal was not working as it...
I don't remember 100%. I think that the cable from the computer goes to female to female adapter on the control box, and from that adapter to the board is the ribbon cable you saw.
Yep. Thanks for all the help!
Can you give me a link of what cable should I get for the parallel connection to replace the ribbon?
Relay is controlled by pin 9. Drive enable is pin 1. And about the relay. It is not stuck closed because if control power is off and vfd on, spindle doesn't run. It runs only if I have vfd on and...
The vfd is connected to the board only via the relay to control the start and stop of the spindle. I control rpm via the vfd itself. Also relay clicks on with the vfd connection to relay disconnected...
