You might be using dull end mills, I had the same exact issue
I'm running the same spindle, I'm actually milling brackets to hold my mister and brackets to hold a larger stepper on 4th axis. Also milling custom molds.
I was dry milling but blowing chips away with air, it was cutting like a dream. Came back same feed rates and couldn't keep the bit from clogging up.
[QUOTE=Mmpie;2104056]Have you used the g-wizard free trial up yet? My machine is a bit beefier, but a good starting point would be to get on the g-wizard free trial, dial in the settings for your...
Hello guys Ive been running my 3040 for about a month or so, finally getting a hang of the cnc controller (mach3) and tool paths (fusion 360). Does anyone have any experience cutting aluminum and...
Hello guys! new to the CNC world, but I'm picking it up quickly. I have a quick questions on end mill selections, for milling 6061 anyone have any advice for the types of end mills, coatings, etc...
Sounds like you may have some loose couplers between the motors and the screw.
I have the 3040 and I used those parameters, which were suggested from manufacturer. and mine stall or bind when moving. still haven't figured it out.
Do you have a recommended power supply to replace the old 24v one?
Yes, I can check the power supply while running. Although I do not have any specs on it. I tuned the motors and they seemed to run a lot better by themselves when I jog them, but if I jog all axis at...
Thanks for the quick reply, it seemed to help after tuning motors, except now when I run x y and z simultaneous it grinds and stalls?
Hey guys I have an issue with my steppers, whenever I travel up and down the axises i have popping and clanking like the screw it travels on is binding, I've tried to adjust the motors and it kind of...
[QUOTE=JoshG502;2093190]
fro the pinout it shows that YOUR BOB can turn on/off the spindle using the relay via pin 9 from Mach3 but cannot control the speed using Mach 3 since that BOB does not...
I had it running through manual and controlled with the pot, made some practice cuts, stopped went inside and came back and CPU was off, turned back on and spindle wouldn't start.
For got to mention breakout board for db25 is tx 14175
Awesome! So how does that pin out correlate as far as getting the spindle to operate through mach3?

Sounds good! Part number ;tx14175
Great, thanks for the reply! I have the bob number but still curious how the pins correlate with the step and dir. which is which. Thanks
I installed the Mach 3 demo because the disc they sent had an internal error b109-13. After watching the Mach 3 setup tutorials I finally got the stepper motors running by assigning them to parellel...
Hello, I was wondering if the pin out would be universal for most of the controllers? I was the prt-e750 and connot get the spindle to move through mach3 . In motor outputs under spindle, what...
