Next time you get this alarm, check the servo amplifiers in the control cabinet for an alarm number on the 7 segment LED. This should help narrow down what the actual problem is.

Is the spindle driven by a belt? We had a little Mori that had most of the small V Belts come apart and it had trouble reaching speed and had no cutting power.
Maybe try playing with the pots on the back of the tube. It's been a while, but VHOLD or VSYNC. Maybe the flyback transformer is going out? I've never replaced one, so that's as much as I know.
Sometimes there are several timers associated with the automatic lubricator in the ladder. The ladder is programmed in a way that will read the state of the pressure switch several seconds after the...
This sounds like a power supply issue. The problem will be which one.
Check optional equipment. Could be something is leaving the EStop circuit open until it starts up. Like the spindle chiller.
When I punched out the ladder on one of the machines I take care of from the I/O in PMC, the file is an ASCII representation of HEX data.
The ladder is stored on an EPROM and I thankfully haven't...
The machines I've experienced 414 alarm errors on, the servo amplifiers, servo encoder, motor or motor cabling were defective.
Diagnostics 200, etc. plus the LED alarm on the servo amplifier help...
Our Doosans have different behaviors like that can be changed from the Keep Relays.
I'd check the documentation for the machines.
I'm curious to hear what you have found out about the magazine controller. I have a friend with one of these machines and I've recently helped him recover it from losing it's memory. Besides the...
Try searching your desktop for 'Creating and Formatting Partitions'
Then see if your flash drive is listed. I've had the best luck on Fanuc controls when you format a single partition to 256MB...
Make sure O1001 doesn't already exist in memory.

It wasn't an 0i-M but a 16M that I needed to manually input the settings for communication as well as the 9000 parameters. I'll never be sure why it refused to read RS232 until I entered the 9000...
This sounds like a power supply issue for the servo amplifier. It may need to be repaired or replaced.
I've found with the machines I work on that begin having problems, if I leave the main...
This looks like possibly an issue with the Windows boot loader?
I'm not sure on the steps, but maybe try to repair the installation with a Windows startup disc.
I agree with this. I had a machine with incremental encoders and home position was set by switches and dogs that had a home a couple inches off after I rotated the ballscrew by hand. I forget what...
If you have a megger or a multimeter that can check up to 60 Megaohms, check resistance from a phase to ground. A megger is better for this, but a multimeter will detect and obvious problem with...
Probably prm 3134
I don't have a Fluke 87, but both an inexpensive insulation resistance tester and inexpensive multimeter with much of the same functionality as a Fluke 87. My multimeter seems to be accurate enough...
How were the motor power cables checked?
I had alarm 8 on a couple different machines. Most likely a transistor module blew up if it's alarming all the time. The big question is why did it blow up.
Unplug the power cables to the servo...
Looks identical to mine. I've noticed that you may have to click the switches just right. In '99' the LEDs scroll from 0 to 7 if everything is right. There are also LEDs in the back of one of those...
I don't know if a slipping belt would also cause this problem.
Looking through notes, perhaps Parameter 1 bit 0 is simultaneous control of 4th axis and has to be '0' as well.
I'll try to find out if my magazine controller diagnostic manual also has a section...
Use this information at your own risk as I got this from an FNC 128 and I don't know if this will work for you.
Parameter 1, Bit 1 as '0' to disable 4th axis.
Again, I don't know how different...
I'm helping someone out with a DM4500 I think.
Seems to be the same control and very similar machine all together.
He had the same issue with the battery, but thankfully he had backups and I...
I think I had this happen with several boards getting killed on a couple Cadet V4020 OSP 5200s.
I had to send the damaged servo amps and motor to be repaired on request of the Hartwig tech. He...
We had a scale that was flooded with compressor oil from an overflowing air filter bowl. Purged the lines with alcohol and clean air then used a quick drying electrical contact spray on the scale and...
I had to partition my card to 256 MB and set as the active partition before I was able to use it on the IPL screen.
You may also need to name the volume 'FANUC LTD' as you format it as FAT 16.
Hello all.
The machine is a Doosan horizontal milling machine with an 18iMB control.
I've noticed sometimes while a subprogram is running from a memory card, all lines but the current and next...
