Hi,
I want to add VFD control box in which I'd display Current, Voltage, Power, DC Voltage etc. and below each number a nice bar that would scale according to input numbers.
I configured SerialBus...
Hey,
I recently came across this web page. Maybe someone will find it interesting and informative, I did.

Thank you, that's nice to hear that.
I don't think that tools are a focus but heavy industry or steel related industry might have been until 1989'.
They are still on the market BISON-BIAL S.A....
nateman_doo
what is your rpm max now?
could you please post exact dimensions of...?
diameter of the hole
diameter of the ball
distance of the hole from the center

Small update...
I changed a design of the bed, a little bit. I removed lower rails since they did not contribute to stiffness and reduced wall thickness from 5 to 4 mm (form ~1/5" to ~1/6").
Now...
Yes, it does look better and I like it much better this way :).
here is one more drawing with dimensions

Hi again,
thx for your advice - now it can be assumed that result are quite precise.
I did couple things to gain stiffness, and here is a new drawing.

I'm not sure which dumper are you willing to build but take a look at this - Patent US5295411 - Torsional vibration absorber system - Google Patentler it is the damper that I spoke...
David,
thank you for your reply. I read it all, now I need some time to analyze it all and to put it all in the software. Unfortunately I'll be quite busy for a week so I'll post a reply in a week...

thx for compliments
First, let me give exact dimensions for the table, gantry and working area as I didn't do it in the first post
HxWxL
working area is as in the topic
6' x 3.2' x 1'...
Its just my university network that is blocking too much stuff. I now opened it on 3G network and will read it.
Thx, I'm trying my best.
No, and unfortunately the site is down (MadVac CNC - home made 4'x8' cnc precision gantry router ?). Does it open at your computer?
Hi,
I've started designing this machine around april and it developed from a small (400x400mm working area) fun project to a full scale 1750x1000 milling machine.
When I started thinking about Mill...

1. as Vogavt said - not everyone have funds
2. some people might want to just play with this idea and fix it themselves - and from the amount of posts you can see that a lot of people...
Hi,
I'd like to refresh this post and put it on a more theoretical/experimental path.
First of all I'd like to refer to one of patents, that I've dug out recently, covering this kind of a damper -...
looking at the video from 1st post
you have something like this
= axis
]clutch

what if you extend the axis trough the clutch add a planetary gearing that switches direction of rotation...
Did you try adding a gear between pendulum axis and the clutch?
Its not heavy - it's actually very light. What you don't see is that Screw Equivalent Mass is around 50 lbs and Motor Equivalent Mass is around 250 lbs. If screw and motor were mass-less you would...

If you mean what I think, then...gravity exerts force of around 60N on the Z axis assembly and that is around 10% of the force avilable so (assuming my loggic is correct)

From my calculations you will get following parameters (in metric units)
Fmax=1320 N at the screw
um/step = 3,13um (at 8 microsteps)
max acc = 4 [m/s^2] - assuming steel screw l=300mm and...
Hi,
I'm trying to figure out what to use to get stronger driver than TB6560 and not spend 150$ per 1 driver.
All the IC that I found so far are rated at voltage <50V and current <4A.
Then I found...
I know that mains AC is irrelevant but i doubt that by writing in catalog 100V AC they meant that they are in JAPAN, US etc. So question is what it means that they drive it from AC how does't work?

Hi,
I was planning on buying Keling KL23H2100-50-4B for 55$ but i went trough Sanyo Denki catalog and found model 103h7823-1760 that has very similar parameters and its only 75$-83$ at newark....
