Hi everyone!
Thank you very much for input, it is greatly appreciated and helpful! I will keep you all updated on my progress and write a blog / transformation log as well, so it could help...
Hi everyone,
I am working on ancient CNC lathe retrofit, among other issues (http://www.cnczone.com/forums/servo-motors-drives/325824-cnc-machinist.html) I wonder how I can drive the main spindle...
I was told that I can indeed control those drives using M4-L075K driver from CS Lab.
I will bite the bullet and order entire control system from them, will post an update when successful or not.
Hi!
Some while ago I bought several old Gutel G100 precision CNC lathes and slaughtered all but one of them which left me nice compact machine + enough of spares to last a lifetime of hobby...
This is a wrong forum post, I am sorry.
Done... Also grounded pin4 in BOB.
Thanks
P.s. the machine I had come fresh out of box, the cabling was that way when it was shipped from China. They did not even try to turn it on before...
No that you ask... I checked it again and spindle itself is grounded, the 4th pin however is not. Manual says it should be but it does not seem to. Probably just a dummy without any function. So one...
And, I have a solution: Cable was wired wrongly, one phase went to ground.... After re-soldering everything in correct way spindle works as expected.
Cheers
Hi!
I have got my hands on Chinese engraver with 1.5kw water cooled spindle (GDZ-80-1.5kw) and nowforever D100 VFD. This spindle behaves funny: it needs manual help to start turning.
Spindle...
Hey there rheine, did you find out how to control the spindle? I also attempt to do so and so far without results, the only difference to you is that I get voltage on both VCC and SIG pins, it is...
Hi Folks,
I have a 6040 machine with black box from YooCNC, no major changes on it as all seems to work OK for Wood. I did not try to machine Aluminum yet but I intended to do some small metal...
To answer my own question: The job is done using simple pliers and one needs so called 'metal belt tips' or 'belt end tips'.
Hi,
I have a textile tape which is cut in pieces and the ends should be 'sealed'. I would like to do it with the help of 'alligator' metal stripes which are pressed onto the end of the tape.
As...
Hi,
I was in a similar situation 2 weeks ago, got my laser and was a bit underwhelmed by cutting performance. I also had well visible smoke traces around cuts on wood.
First I got a small...
And one more follow-up.
After machine stays off for a night the bubbles come back but we found the easy way to dispose of them: They are being blocked by water jet turbulence near what seems to be...
Thank you waltfl,
Instead of removing the tube I've raised one side of machine up and let chiller run for coupe hours, all bubbles are gone now.
Hi,
I am lucky to have a 6040 mill from CarvingCNC. I am not so lucky to have limited space in my workshop and would like to have certain flexibility by putting the mill on self-made stand,...
Hi Everyone!
Our RECI W6 tube has visible small, ~5mm diameter bubbles in the coolant tube. They also tend to cluster.
Is that a problem and if yes, how can we get them out? I have tried to run...
Hi Dave,
Thank you very much for advises, I am now looking at compressor with 220+L/MIN, 50+L tank and I also plan to install a solenoid valve so controller will enable air when needed. This...
Yep, I did clean it before turning power on for the first time. So the dot / darkening is not a normal thing to have?
Hm, okay, it is kind of useless to have a 150W laser then? If 40W is about...
Hi everyone!
Recently I have purchased a 1290 Laser from China, the transaction was quite a pleasant experience and machine arrived configured as promised, without serious issues.
The...
