I'll see if I can find my notes on how to get the screen to light up. I never did get the machine to move so I moved on to other projects. Anyway, I'll poke around tonight and see what I can find.

I work in a university machine shop. We recently loaded the Bobcam plug in for Solidworks. Most of the students use Solidworks to design their widgits so the Bobcad plugin is an easy next step for...
I seem to be having a nearly identical problem with my MCV-OP. I bought the machine a couple of years ago and it sat without power until about a month ago. The screen was blank, a couple of buttons...
I have the same machine with generally the same problems. The machine operated fine when I bought it a couple of years ago. Then it sat unused until recently. Today with the help of the previous...
I've been using V23 for a couple of years now, both lathe and mill. Compared to Mastercam I see no difference in functionality. I can afford Bobcad, I don't want to have to afford Mastercam. For me...
That was it.
I think the problem is with the post processor outputting x moves in radius instead of diameter. I'll see if I can change that.
Still fighting with this program here. The code runs just fine as frog hair except that the final bore diameter is exactly half what it ought to be. The z length is correct. I tried to fool it by...
Geof, this is golden. I'll study on this for a bit. Thanks for the help.
That's a good question. It should be simple to do. The job is to create a bore 1.180 ID with a straight length .411 long then at the tangent point, a full spherical radius .590 (half the bore dia.)....
Thanks guys that seems to be working. The problem now is that the Haas controller gives a warning that the boring tool is too big to fit. I've drawn a 3/8 diameter custom tool in Bobcad and it should...
Thanks Geof. I guess my problem is that to me this TL is a "normal cnc lathe" and the orientation of the tools and the Bobcad training cd seem to be backwards. I'll get over it.
So then I should draw above the Z line?
Please bear with me, I'm a complete noob here. My questions have to do with using Bobcadcam to draw a representation of the part want to make. I understand that I only need to draw half the profile...
If you want to machine the case acetal (Delrin) cuts nice and is pretty stable. Polycarbonate would make a nice tough case as well.
I just spoke with someone at centroid and the boot disc is available for purchase from them. Did you get your problem resolved?
I'm looking for information an a cnc mill made by "Promill". Anybody heard of it?
I have a Bandit system complete with stepper motors which was removed from a Shizouka mill. The system was new I think about 1984. The system was working when it was removed and replaced by a more...
