I bought one 60gal Husky compressor for my plasma table ... it is workin good but if is running for 10 min or more I see oil going thru the air line.
Is this normal to a new air compresor?...

I have a plasma table which can be easily converted to a routing cnc table.
I am trying to cut 3/16" Aluminum with the plasma and I can tell you that I am NOT very happy with the quality....

Put all the numbers together tonight .... the table cost me around 6k
Add the cutter, compresor and a bunch of other tools - I'm less than 10k.
So YES - is worth to build

So I did try ..... 3/16 AL 60A tip 80PSI
I CANNOT get the 2V sparks ahead of the cut no matter what combination I try.
I started at 140V/90ipm went down to 140/35ipm to 145V to 135V etc ..... no...

I am using EVERYTHING new with the 40 A nozzle ....that what's make me upset. I never did try with 60 A nozzle

I am trying to cut 3/16 AL .... I found the following combination that works "better" .... Powermax 1000 - 40A - 153V - 45ipm .....
The edge of the material is kinda' "flacky" (see pic...

Wouldn't that prevent the floating head to work properly ???????

I was wondering if anybody cut 3/16 AL and special if you use the fine cut kit. Hypertherm does not gives values for cutting with this. I wish I could afford to try test cuts :( So tips, amps, feed...

The best thing that you can do is to follow instruction about this from the plasma manufacturer .... For example if you use a Hypertherm Powermax 1000 and you cut with 60A heads you use 138V - 60A...

I meant YES you have to have a water table - for multiple reasons.
Smoke first - if you have the water touching the material - I had almost no warpage cutting 16GA ....

I use the Hypertherm Powermax 1000 G3 - SWEEEEEET.

I use a floating head to determine exactly the thickness of the material or exactly to set the cutting height where it...
