I have a complete ac servo setup and ballscrews/extended y axis that I used hoss plans for. I will sell the electronics and ballscrews if you are interested. Also have stuff for power drawbar...
I will sell my 3axis ac servo/ballscrew g0704 setup for WAY cheaper than you can build it. Includes mounts/ballscrews/belts/electronics. All you need to do is modify your machine for the ballnuts...
I have moved to fort mcmurray alberta. Will be parting the machine out in July when I am on vacation in BC if anyone is interested in the dmm kit or ballscrew kit or complete machine.

Thanks
RFQ is pending at the moment. Can't believe how many messages I have gotten. Sorry could not reply to everyone.
Thanks, just cleared it, wasn't expecting to be bombarded by so many messages.
Not even sure if this is worth anyones time but I need a rfq on 1 of these pieces. It is roughly 3.375" in diameter and 1.5" long. My drawing is kind of screwed up but you get the idea.

awesome build, what part of canada are you in?
haha should be 2" not 2'. Machine worked awesome interpolating some 3" holes in 6061. Now I will get to weld the machined parts when I'm back from europe in July.
Been a long time since any updates. I got the machine working and have engraved a few things and done some random stuff. Still have a bunch of work and tidying up to do.
I picked up a dmm 750w...
I have the dmm servo kit on my g0704. Just got it all back together last weekend after the move. I am super happy with dmm's service and price once you factor everything in. I will have a bunch...
Those switches are about $10 each and are sealed with some sort of epoxy. I really like that box you made for them. Looking good kregan.
looks sweet man, where in canada are you from?
sweet finally got to cut some aluminum with it
I cut a 2' diameter circle in a 3/8" plate.
it came out within .0015" and there were no marks or divots where the axes reverse rotation. Pretty...
cncmoose- I bought hoss' plans and had the x extended a half inch for a pulley. It worked out perfectly. The motor has to be offset to clear the table, but there is room.

Ive got the 300w dmms and my friend has the bigger ones with internal gearing. He is really happy with them. So powerful he said he bent his router a bit with them haha.
I was at hui's house...
Yah I noticed that too. It's my x-axis that is louder. I was just happy to have it working. But I also remember not lubing the x like the y so I'm going to try that next weekend, hopefully thats...
Got the x and y up and running. It's only at 66% of max speed due to the parallel port, but still way faster then I need. Here is a little video. Hope to have the z up and running next weekend.

I would recommend the dmm servo kit as they are a local company. I can make the motor mount plates for you if you are interested.
I'm pretty sure it would fit in the back of a vibe if you removed it from the pallet and had two guys to maneuvere it. It would definately fit in the back of my honda civic lying down. If you are...
Starleper1- I am running the same ballscrews as Hoss with oversized balls so the backlash should be acceptable. I know there are over 5200 smoothsteppers that have been sold and most people are...
Got my friend to make me the x-axis servo mount today. I will get a chance to try it out tomorrow. I'm planning to mount the motor in front of the table to keep it more compact. Only thing left to...
It cut like that pretty much out of the box. The key is the hypertherm inverter plasma cutter in my opinon. I used the settings supplied by hypertherm and they worked excellent.
I had a...

I have actually sold the torchmate 2x2 and press brake. I am limited by space in my parents garage and decided that a cnc mill would be most useful for my space.
The torchmate 2x2 was excellent. ...
Finally got the belts and pulleys , got a friend to make my z and y servo mounts, pics this weekend
If it doesn't work out it will be cheap to change the pulleys. The charts for my motors have flat line torque across the rpm range so I'm hoping it will work well. You are free to come check it out...
I'm guessing you are in BC? I'm in coquitlam with a g0704. I have my ballscrews and 3 axis servo kit ready to go. Using dmm nema 23 ac servos on all axis. My belts and pulleys just shipped...
no major updates been busy with school lately, haven't uploaded the pics yet. Need to wait another month for the belt/pulleys.
