Check eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices and also google/bing the machine you are looking for-you should be able to find many old...
We upgraded an lcd to a fadal mill from the working crt and it has worked with no problems from day one-no probs when running machine. Could your lcd be bad, does it work again when machine is not...
I've got a 2005 4020 re-man with close to 30,000 hours power on and 18,000 cutting. 50,000 4th axis parts a year on it. Runs better than a maytag.
And for anyone wanting the next tip if the servo style ATC rotation stops working-the ATC (AC to)DC powers supply big blue capacitor on the power supply board can un-mount itself after lots of steel...
Under what situation this alarm comes on, at start-up, during a certain axis movement or after 10 minutes of milling or turning? My Tsugami had an over current alarm which ended up being a parameter...
My 4th axis has a brake straight on the faceplate(inside the housing) and the braking force does NOT go through the gear.. This way you can drill a 1" hole 10 inches off center without turning the...
I would not try to cut against a belt, 4th axis has a worm gear for two reasons, for resolution and it's ability to hold its position while taking on the machining forces. If you were only drilling...
My Tsugami Fanuc servos spin 2000 rpm-you can read that from the nameplates. Are you on a tight budget? ebay has some 4th axis' for sale that have the correct type of faceplate/bearing needed and put...
Did you try to email them or call? If only email, then give them a call around 2 P.M. their time for the best chance of getting what you need..(thats after lunch and the morning rush to put fires...
What model Tsugami do you have? I have a S16 and made my own tool length setup tool for tools T22-T24(95mm offset block)
I can't see this being a metric/inch problem, I have switched every machine I've bought and never had a C axis(or A axis on mill) problem as the "dimensions" are in angles not lengths(mm's or...
Also 20% off coupons in Popular Sceince magazines, magazine is $4.99 and a tool at 20% off is a lot more!!! Plus good reading..
How big are your small part dimensions? I make on our 4th axis machine over 50,000 complicated faceted parts per year in a Fadal 4020. About 20 tool changes to complete a part. I gang them up in a...
We were trying to make an alarm(error or broken tool) system to our Fadals and using the M67/M68 relay outputs as our trigger. We could get the machine to set off our alarm by M67 BUT M68 would not...
I had a 104D 4020 which had software problems after I received it. Things like cutter comp not working in repeated sub-programs(aka L104) and also the feed pot wouldn't work after first rep-went...
I have eyeballed a 6" vice to under .001" - matching it's Y to the next vice(three vices in a row, same Y)!!! Felt good that day... ; )
BTW, I use my Mitutoyo caliper tail to stir my coffee too...
Rob, I understand what you are trying to do with the "last home position", I have 3 EMC's that we always run to Y+ for easier part changes. However, I like that we only cs the machines on its own...
7075 Al is a blessing to machine. It's hardness makes it machine in a "crisp" manner, low galling on tools. Any AL specific tooling (sharp) is a good start for lathe and mill. Just beware that if you...
The "EMC" is the name of a fadal 2016 machine, has no other meaning btw..
I like and understand(I think) the idea here... But I don't think I have a parameter page to insert numbers in the fadal...
All of the programs are kept in the EMC memory, no rs232 used while doing setup. Just choose new program and press cycle start is the idea.
Wondering if G52 can be used with multiple work offset...
I need to tap into the vast knowledge base of the programming guru wizards here...
I produce with my FADALs over 50,000 steel parts on our 4th axis machine per year. 1st phase is in a 4th axis...
OOPS, I meant G52 in the title..
I need to tap into the vast knowledge base of the FADAL guru wizards here...
I produce with my FADALs over 50,000 steel parts on our 4th axis machine per year....
Before you take the whole machine to pieces, my FANUC controlled (fanuc servos) has an operator page where I can turn ON and OFF the servo brakes, need to when alligning T1 and T2 axis to home...
I can give you the dimensions of my Tsugami S16D machine which is a smaller machine that a 32mm standard machine but will give something more than what you have now..
Machine is 7 feet wide from...
Fadal has installed a Fanuc control system with servos into a Fadal cnc mill, if the control wont boot up it is a Fanuc control problem. If it wont hold tolerances cuz of sloppness in machine, it is...
On a milling machine I have used a FADAL command G15 to create a "YZ-A interpolation". This is when Y and Z follow the crank pin down while A is turned. I have machined a race engine crankshaft from...

I have used Fadals for years and can explain some basic things about them if you give me a call and believe it or not, talk in Finnish! Soita mulle... +1 214 385 7102 but call me at in the...
Oh the memories, I used a robo drill like this to do the first large maching job after starting my own company.. I face cutwith 3" face mill 2" steel plate and drilled up to 20mm holes and it did...
What are the travels you need? Both X and Y axis movement? I found linear bearing on www.ebay.com , a set of 4 rail and 8 bearing blocks that could build an X-Y table with for only $50.. I dont see...
