Yeah, the problem is solved. This is not something related to wiring or so. It was a U phase current transducer failure on the drive power card - not the control one - We took off the drive and...
The machine is a star sr32 with fanuc 16tt control. About 2 weeks ago, the machine began to give this alarm while it was booting up.
"750 Serial spindle link error" on HEAD 2.
later on after 10...
No, is not that easy :) We need a password to access and change service parameters. I asked one of the guys here, and thanks a lot to him, gave me the password i was looking for.
Ok. I am overdone. I did not really understand how i could just set the protected barfeeder parameters.. Anyone can help ? I tried code 510 to access them but nothing happens, tried 546 code and...
I did it with #2601 in the begining of the program. Machine does not support G120 code. #2601 (z axis stroke minus part length) works well, I tried using G50 instead of G150. It worked well, too....
And i need to know how to get there.. :)
Thanks anyway, it is not one of those yellow machines, i now sr16s and 20s are yellow. but this one is simply white.. :))
Just like below

i am pretty happy with applitec but the cut off surface is not that clean. i am using applitec products since 8 years and they are simply ok for me, especially cut-off bites. it is a cut-off tool...
guys is not SR32-Junior, it is only SR32, 6 axis machine with 16-TB...
Hi all, we bought a 2001 Star SR32 machine last week, we put it in the shop but did not get it to run, yet. I was looking in the manuals and program samples and i found that this machine does not...
The exact problem is cut-off surface finish. I found that this problem makes a little difference in part length.
I guess it is just the cut-off tool, applitec 751R..
I am stumped, too, overdone myself but no way.. And things do not change even if i machine the part in an other machine, brand new or old one. This is really a weird situation, makes me sick! and is...
The interesting side is, i back face the part make a radius to the back end. And it really does not effect too much a new one or grinded one.. :s This is an easy looking job but, it is very messy. A...
Sorry for late answer,
I finished the job with holding tight tolerances as well as possible.
But i am sure there is no problem with the lathe, i checked the part length without pulling it back,...
I have been in swiss many years, using hanwha cnc lathes, i am pretty happy with the every part and set-up that i made, except one.
I turn a 8 mm bar, 80 mm is part length. Material is 4140. DOC is...
there is no need to do roughing, it will make you loose so much time. you can turn it in one pass. roughing may only need for the end of the part.. So that you may get a smoother cut.. a lh tool will...
all i can say is good luck! very complex machine!
I worked with nothing but swiss so far. I am not really experienced in tough milling applications, we got very easy milling jobs so far.. But this one is a little bit tough. This is why i stuck....
I do both face and cross live milling. Generally no probs with face milling, as the sub spindle is powerful than cross live tools. I will now investigate Kennametal's stuff.. I now prefered to lower...
Anyone experienced hard milling a material like C45? I am having troubles with a new job in shop. Simply a part has more milling process rather than turning. Using 8 mm solid carbide chatter free...
Thanks everyone answered, we pushed harder a little and we bought a brand new Hanwha swiss lathe rather than buying a used M20.
Ok, i do not really think that Citizen's Turkish importer would give free training for a foreign country imported second hand machine... Otherwise the training stuff.. I can run the machine well, I...
Anyone using M20? :)
Hi,
I was looking for a good looking but reasonable priced cnc sliding headstock machine over the web and i found one, 1996 Citizen M20 with Mitsubishi Meldas control unit exc. bar-feeder. I have...
Hi, there might be a problem with the air hoses in your guide bush. A small air purge is being done from the behind of gb while the machine runs to prevent oil leakage to the main spindle side.
Hi,
I do have XD20-H. I can understand your problem. I do not know about the length of the part you make, but try making longer pusher tips. What i mean is, sub spindle will grab the part and the...
i guess it is just because of the sensor does not detect the bar end. check out the tightness of the clamps. a faulty clamping sensor is possible, too.
