Interesting, because the max speed that was rated for my spindle *was* 24k rpm, with a minimum of 8,000.. And 5 amps on the casing (I changed that in the VFD already) so that's worked out.

Recently I bought a Workbee 750 CNC kit off eBay and as part of the kit, it included a VFD and spindle.
And you guessed it! It's the oft written about hy01d523b and a 1.5kw air cooled...
