    Re: When will "acorn" release?

Yes, it's called "Run Time" graphics. Press F4 -Run and then F10 RTG On/Off and it will display as you are cutting. You can also set parameter 150 = 1 and it always be on when a job is running

  4. Re: Centroid T400 for lathe and gear head speed selection

    Marty,

Marc was correct, I had mapped Med range to the "High Mid" parm (p67) rather than the "Low Mid" I've corrected that in the attached program. I also added logic to clear the m function bits...
  5. Re: Centroid T400 for lathe and gear head speed selection

    Marty,

    As currently written:

    Aux1 & M41 = Low range
The low range ratio is defined in parm 65. ex: A setting of .1 indicates that the spindle motor rotates 10 times for each revolution of the...

    Hi Marty,

You attached the report.txt file, We need the report.zip. When sending or posting a report, please always attach the report.zip.

Re: I think I have an encoder wiring issue

If your encoder counts smoothly both positive and negative when you rotate the shaft with your hand., you encoder is probably ok. With the shaft pointing at while your looking at the motor faceplate,...

    Marty,

Updates are available via download and there are no fees unless you chooses to have a technician come onsite to do the update. In general, the user can perform the update without issue....
  10. Re: Centroid T400 for lathe and gear head speed selection

    Marty,

The standard PLC supports 4 ranges, but the PLC can be modified to support a virtually unlimited number of gear ranges.

After you receive the lathe, you will want to upgrade it to v3.06,...
  11. Re: Centroid T400 for lathe and gear head speed selection

Sorry - missed the button push part. That likely is not in the PLC program but the PLC may very well support mfunctions you could issue in your program to accomplish the same thing. Again a report is...
  12. Re: Centroid T400 for lathe and gear head speed selection

Parameters 65, 66 and 67 contain the ratios for low, med-low and med range. With an appropriate PLC program, the control will automatically adjust for gear range. If you send a report.zip to...
  13. Re: Need help with finding z axis limit on centroid controller

There is no such thing as "set home permanently" as the control/motors use incremental encoders which means that every time the machine is powered up, "home" will be set at whatever position the 3...
  14. Re: Question on the DC-AIO H2 motor connection.

You should match the voltage to your motors. Our current drives can run up anything up to ~160VDC (drives shipped since late 2012), previous drives up to ~140VDC.

    You definitely want full wave...

  16. Re: Question on the DC-AIO H2 motor connection.

All of our power supplies with transformers supply ~120VDC bus voltage. You will need to look for a tap on your existing transformer of ~70VAC or purchase a power supply elsewhere. I have had good...
  17. Re: Question on the DC-AIO H2 motor connection.

    JJ,

Yes, that rectifier configuration is designed for a center tapped xformer and will not perform as designed with a secondary that isn't center tapped.

What voltage are your motors rated...

    Re: servo spindle

    Hi ghack,

As you have already determined, you must change the control parameters to reflect the specific material, depth, speed, and size of the hole you are tapping.
