Thank you Graham.
Would you be willing to share your CAD file of the Touch Probe that you made.
I totally understand if you do not want to, their is some stuff that I am really proud of aswell and...
First of all, thank you Gerry for your patience with me and helping me.
I think that I might go with making a home switch board. I have a few questions, ( I know a lot of questions) :)
So is this...
But which one, series or parallel, and does this require a circuit board??
Thanks. :)
How would you wire a multiple output to a board and motors?
Thanks. :)
So, would anybody be able to help me out here? Well, I guess first of all, are Home/limit switches manual switches that you flick to make the motors move to the desired starting point?? And also, I'm...
How does the home switch work? Do you manually flick a switch to tell your motors to go to their starting point? Or is it all software? And Also, what is the difference between Parallel and Series...
Hmmm.... Maybe a 2 axis foam cutter if that is possible. And then use the foam as a mold. Or just a XY axis router, I'm not sure how that will work out.
Hope this helps. :)
Doh!!!! I get it know, sorry about the confusion there, thanks for helping me out guys. That last post really cleared some things up. :) So, how many of these free inputs are there on the Xylotex...
He wrote something like this : "The probe was connected to one of the home switch inputs on my driver board and this was configured as the probe input"
on this website :...
But, I thought that I read in another website about a Home Built Touch Probe, and that you can hook it up through the Home Switch port, I guess where the wires go for the home switch. So where do the...
For a touch probe, would you want a Parallel or Series Home Switch?? Also, could someone help me out that might have some expierience with making a home switch, what parts, do you have to make a PCB?...
Also, check this out:

Enjoy. :)
So, I'm not totally sure how this works. So, is it when the probe is touched, one or more rods lift up from the bearing and breaks the circuit, so the software knows where to put a point in the...
Try Princess Auto, they should have some stuff there.
:)
Do you mean for wiring things for THC or is that beside the point, just for wiring the board itself? Also, do you get free upgrades with TurboCNC just like Mach2?
Thanks for the replies. :)
His motors are only 2a at 680 oz/in aren't they? The Xylotex should be able to handle that can't it?
:)
This thread is helping me understand some things better too. Great thread. I have a question aswell :
How many oz/in would you need to cut alumminum and mild steel on a lathe or mill. Would 200...
Hmm.... I will see when the motors arrive I guess.
Thanks for the help. :)
Hello?
Thanks.:)
Hello?
Thanks.:)
The seller says that it is indeed the 2.9 Amps for Unipolar, the motor has 8 wires. So, what does this mean for other wiring possibilities? Does this mean that in Bipolar series I will probably get...
Can things like torch height control have a way around them, so that I can do that in TurboCNC also.
What are the bad points of TurboCNC and Mach2. I am just starting out so I am sort of more...
