If its just tracing and drilling boards. You oughtta check out www.instructables.com They got a small cnc made from pipe metals. It would be the least amount of $ spent on the project.

Is it a good deal for this USED CNC for $500 ? ?
From what I've researched on this site, i will have to spend atleast another $300 on new step motors and controller and powers.

With that much concern for the public, why dont you just stick with motors turbine lol

I got another example...its quite simple too. You do drive, dont you ? Say you crash your car on the freeway...

I'm not ready for turbine engine..but how about a jet drive pump. Complete from head to toe casted parts. I'll post some pics in here when I get the pix.

Best foam i've used are regular insulation foam.
They are thick and soft, when casted, take the perfect shape with 1-2% shrinkage.
Try to use a coating outside the foam. Home made formulas is dry...

How do you set the configuration in GMFC program ? I have a regular 3-axis cnc board that i'm using on my foam cutter. GMFC does not seem to pick up this board. Any manual configurations like...

Yes, I was going to make sure someone actually have it working first before I build the unit. I dont have all the time in the world to go through all the troubleshooting :P

Hi, I tried the software last night. It did not detect my controller board and kept popping up the "low frequency" message.

I tried Mach. The conversion process takes a 2d drawing as a weird zig zag puzzle... got me all puzzled. lol
