Thank you sld4121,
I added a 5c collet nose to this machine after I got it. I hadn't looked that direction yet (chuck clamp). I think the spindle arrival is working. I will double check turret clamp...
Been a while since I was on here,
Been machining and busy, guess thats a good thing.
I'm working with this Ikegai FX2ON with a 6Ta control. Great machine, holds tenths all day. It's been serviced...
Also, the position page shows in inches (work offset, machine position, dist to go) but the tool offsets have omly 3 decimal places and the work offset page, the decimal place is off one position...
Nothing Zero returns now. 1st or 2nd home. No alarms?
I did the Y1C2 to get the machine up to take the cover off the motor to check the wiring. I powered the machine off in a Z +5.000 position and logged the distance to the table. After checking the...
Thanks underthetire,
Also, I was just trying to move it around in z and reset Z zero at Z zero. Just in case somethings messed up with the position interferance. I had to move machine to the very...
Also,
on the DIAG IN/OUT (SPINDLE MONITER) page;
If I do rotate the spindle by hand the speed is fed back to the (rpm)
with even very light movements. (that's why I think encoder may be ok.)
Thanks Al,
Yes the encoder is on the top of the motor.
I'm wondering if the Z-pulse is there or not.
Mitsubishi is calling me back with bit that should
change with rotating the spindle by hand....
I have an orientation problem I hope I can get help with.
The machine is a 1996 TV-3O with a 8O2 (5Om) control, 10 tool drum.
When M19 (or M192) is input, the spindle spins at 2495rpm, until...
Thanks Wizard,
The words ring true that you say. I have spent too much of my holiday time on this already.
Thank you (and Al the Man) for your time.
I a bought a CNC machine described as "in good working condition". Trusting sole as I have been. I drove out and checked the machine out myself. It was wired up off to the side and in running...

My service area has changed. I moved our company out of Washington State to Montana. What a great move! Difficult, but well worth it. Am looking for answers to where you get parts...
Thanks for the info.
I have the machines in place already. The units themselves are level. Am aligning the pallet changers and bolting them to machines tomorrow. Have electrics and air to hook up...
I just had two 1987 Matsuura RA-1's delivered. Lost in shipment was the box with the manuals and the cabinet round type keys. I have a MV-510 so most Yasnac issues I will be able to find in that...
Hi Jason,
One of our machines is an Pratt & Whitney Tapemate. It has the Fanuc 6M control with 128k of memory. We use it all the time for small, short run parts.
The % at the begining doesn't...
Back up and running!
Turns out the sensor was internitent (ok, bad). Richard Limbeck @ CNC Machine Service, Inc (Snohomish, WA) is a real wiz when it comes to servicing older equipment !!! The...
I'm looking at a few machines, we are moving and have sold some equipment. I have found a couple newer CINCINNATI's 1000's (1998's) that would be fairly easy to get. I've run a few (wow, that was a...

We're in the middle of this at our company as well. Old machines are great money makers! To a point, that is Our company is moving and have to decide on equipment to keep and equipment to let...
Well, the Tech is on his way. Machine has stumped me for too long. Machine still in a interlock condition (will not move in Z axis). I had my hopes up for a little bit on Sunday, with sensors...
Thanks Al,
Got some rest and then got back on it. Since I had both sencors as equals, I tested them and the numbers came out the same. So I followed the leads to a handy little bus bar that had...
Thanks Al,
It's a three wire, rectangle (on its side), measures 1.950 long x .67 deep x .75 tall with a .45 round solid button sensor (no movement) off center on top. holes are through the center...
Thanks Dan,
Yep. I was leaning towards the sensor myself. It's a proximity type. The up sensor flashes a 1 on the screen (and error 3 lamp coms on), when I put something metal (like a small allen...
adding a little to the information ( I have nothing better to do since I'm staying at the shop one more night). The Diagnostic #48 should be 10011010 and its 10011011 . Witch means the arm upfin and...
! buddy of mine told me long ago that one of the worst things for a CNC is to sit "OFF" for a length of time. Boy, no kidding! Our shop is in the process of moving, so this 1984 Mori - Seiki MV35/35...
Thanks Adobe Machine, I'll give them a try.
Here is a pic of the tool holder (a few weeks ago before I put it to work).

We got another machine in a couple weeks ago. Wanted to see if it really worked as good as the previous owner said. Been makin' chips from the second day it...
Thanks dertsap. Pressure gauge on tank (when on), builds up quickly and does not taper off, which I believe to be good. I was just all over this machine doing it's PM and didn't find any leaking or...
