The HF bender is good for heavy "pipe", but for actual tube it will kink the heck out of it. You will have to buy a "tube" bender for tube, or if you make your own at the very least buy some tube...

Nothing happens in Hawaii, that's what makes it funny. Suckers.:D
I like the vortex systems, but at 15 cfm it seems like my air compressor would barely be able to keep up. Once your air compressor starts working this much wouldn't it start pumping out hot air,...
How about a Mistic Mist system. Does anybody have any experience with these?
I was researching the different mist systems and was wondering if anybody ever made their own. I was thinking of just using a cheap air compressor filter/oil system like so , and just running a hose...
If Denver cnc was partially to blame and led you in this direction, maybe they can help you out. I'm assuming they are the dealer you are referring to. I know the last time I talked to Denver they...

That is nice, for regular round holes do you use the plasma cutter or do you just drill these. If they are plasma cut, they look almost as nice as drilled holes, at least from what I can see.
nervis, you seem to know your stuff. While on the subject of coolants what is better a flood system of a mist system? Does the mist system work pretty good if you get the help of air?
Second vote for band saw. I will be getting one in a couple of months. If the chop saw you are looking at is the metal chop saw, I have a Makita, it is good for cutting mild steel, but it heats up...
I can't beleive nobody thinks of doing a chasis in two steps. This is an old trick I picked up when I used to do vinyl stickers. My machine would only cut up to 30" if I wanted anything bigger, say...
When I was looking for a cnc setup, I did alot of researching. From what I read a taig along with Mach2 software would be a wise chose. The best price on a taig ready to go was from here . You...
Sounds like I am going with steppers. Thanx again guys.
Yes, I don't think steppers are as sensitive to interference, but I thought that servos were a little more sensitive.
Hey Stevie are you trying to hijack my thread? :D
Oh also, from what I here geckos with good steppers being run by Mach2 rarely mis any steps. How true is this and if it is would it be more dependable than servos and having to worry about cross...
I am planning on going with geckos, 500 oz. steppers, and Mach 2. I thought only servos could give feedback and with steppers you just crossed your fingers and hoped that there are no mistakes. I...
I will be doing a CNC conversion on a Shoptask 3 in 1 machine. I know servos are supposed to be faster and more accurate than steppers, but I am doing this as a hobby and don't need super high...
I did some searching myself and everyone seems to be overall happy with their machines. From what I have read the lathe part is as good as any other lathe, but the mill is a bit of a compromise in...
Isn't clearcoat just a clear paint? I would think if this stuff is strong enough to eat paint, it would eat through clearcoat as well. I would repaint my equipment and change to another coolant...
I'm just trying to help out here. Also, I am assuming it is from Harbor Freight, they are pretty good about making things right. They probably would send you just the parts you need under warranty...
You should be able to find any part you need here LittleMachineShop.com
Don't know why it broke without looking at machine, that is something you are going to have to look at and figure out...
Well I finally broke down and ordered my shoptask, expected delivery time is at the end of April, but I will be in the process of moving about that time, so I probably won't be able to really play...
I plan on getting a shopmaster and turning it into CNC. My knowledge is limited in making my own control box so I was thinking of getting a control box from DenverCNC , which is based on Xylotex...
I don't mind tweaking things, I actually enjoy tinkering. I especially like the lifetime warranty. Any other real problems or is it mostly setting everything up to accepatable specs?
Did you get a better deal on the accessories? I called with a list of upgrades, but they didn't want to budge on price.
What did you guys pay or are going to pay for your shoptask? I finally decided to buy one, but the price went up from Friday to today to $2195. I know it was selling for $1995 for about 3 months...
Yes, it will be just for hobby, don't care about set up time, I know how people complain about that. How accurate are these and how hard would it be to CNC it?
Is this machine any good?
Would I be able to make it CNC down the road, and what about ballscrews?
3in1
ger21,
Is it a fact that Denvercnc uses the same xylotex boards from their website? If they are I think it is an ok deal for a packaged product.
Looks good. I would polish them before mounting the tire, would make them look even nicer. How long did one wheel take to make?
