Thanks!! will send to you right now!
Hi all, I have a Mori seiki SL150 with a MSC518 (I assume its a Fanuc 18i) and the battery retaining its home position was dead when I got it. All of the other batteries seemed ok, but I went ahead...
Oh. I guess if its actually an fanuc 18i series, I do have the yellow fanuc operators, and maintenance manual and a parameter manual too. I have 3 machines I picked up, and I guess they all appear...
Yeah..... I guess I am going to have to. I tried to go through the procedure tonight but I CANNOT find a ZRN button/switch/softkey or anything anywhere. Most machines I think have a position on the...
Hmm. My guess is that if it is possible to be a parameter then it is likely that. One of the two batteries in the back was dead, it seemed to be the battery that retained the home position...
I agree it isn't a conventional Fanuc control name but it is what it says on it. It was built in april of 2000. It is a tsugami BS19 panther series 2.

I finally have my phase converter up and working and now need to zero return this machine (Tsugami BS19 with Fanuc LH1 control). It alarms on startup saying something to the effect of alarm 300...
You might try checking your chuck sensors. I have run into that on machines when they are right on the edge of reading it being chucked/un-chucked. Just a thought.
I have a Tsugami BS19 panther series II with a Fanuc LH1 control that I know almost nothing about so far and have a single manual that is mostly a few photo copies of a few pages from the manual.

HAHAHA!! I pretty much convinced myself it was bad so I looked and found a used one on ebay for $33 so I bought it 20 minutes before you replied and 30 before I saw your reply.... Oh well. I swear I...
I set the interlock switch to off. I also taped the door switch down. I tried all combos is L1-L3 including L1&L2. I couldn't get it to reset or do anything. It's not snappy like a normal breaker....
well, I bought a plug that fit my welders extension cord and used some lengths of wire to build a pigtail so I could just plug and unplug the machine as wanted. It worked well for the Hardinge and...
Awesome! I will see about getting power run to the machine and see what I can let the smoke out of(hopefully not!) sometime this week. I'll let you know how it all goes.
Just to make double...
I suppose I could also just unplug/disconnect the hydraulic unit until I need it...... Right? ....
So I could hook it up with single phase and just let the overload trip, but still have the control on and "functional" to the point I can see what options are on it, see if I get a low battery alarm...
I just bought 3 machines and put them in my garage. I spent all I had for the machines so it will take some time to get enough cash for a phase convertor and tooling, but I am worried about the...
I am looking at buying a new VMC for my shop. I currently have a Haas VF3ss and its an ok machine. It is the typical light and noisy machine that in my experience is a Haas. I have narrowed it...
Took me a second to figure out, I thought I could actually look through the parameters and SEE it. I ended up calling a local guy and he gave me the heads up that you just called it up and looked at...
Crap! I forgot to list the control, sorry, but yeah its a 0itb. I will check it out tomorrow. Thanks.
I am running a kia 4 axis lathe and want to build a mini macro to run a number of parts and advance .525 each time. I know how to do all of it except in an effort to "foolproof" it I want to be able...
I don't see any major problems but do have a couple of questions. You have everything out to 4 decimal places, how close do they need to be? I am guessing the .250 hole through the middle needs to...
Yeah, a copy of the program would be good. Make sure you switch to G17 before you start cutting.
Woohoo!!!!! I finally got it to work. It was a long week trying to get this SOB to cooperate. I tried all the jumper settings again and new plugs, our handyman/maintenance guy brought in a laptop...
Wow! thanks for the in depth explanation :). I am only hooking up the one machine, the other machine I run has an ethernet cable and runs on windows XP and works beautifully. The machine never...
Wow! you have a kia too? sounds like a parallel machine shop to us! we have a kia SKT-15 LMS. we have had it for a year and a half now. it is what prompted us to step up to the multus. after...
Well, thanks for the tip, but it didn't work. If I don't have 6,8,20 jumpered I instantly get a DR dignal alarm. something happened somewhere along the line because on Fri I was sending and...
If that's the case, maybe we can get our dealer to do some sort of warranty on it. we bought the machine new almost 2 years ago and never hooked up the RS232 before. Thanks, I will run it by them.
we had a guy that is supposed to be pretty good with electronics come out and look at it and put a rs232 box that verified it was sending the data ready signal, all the voltages looked good and he...
Thanks for the reply, but that is what I have. I have spent countless hours on the internet researching this and I keep coming up with the same problem: I can send from the machine to the computer,...
O.K. I am still beating my head against a wall here. I have the cable configured as said, I have been through several plugs, my solder joints are beautiful and the wires are in the correct...
