Update: ferrule was found!

Quick follow up - it occurred to me that the 4mm tube is very similar to the Bowden tube I use in a 3d printer and sure enough the slip fitting from the heat sink threads directly into the tormach...
Ahh, thanks Jim! There’s a good chance the ferrule was there and went flying across the room if it wasn’t swaged. I was assuming they were swaged based on the other end’s ferrule being so tightly...
It's a trick but you can square up the dovetail plate by running z up and down and with a test indicator mounted on the table and indicating on the dovetail angled surface. Shim the dovetail plate...
$1850 for the computer ready version with ball screws. I assume the higher torque motors would now make sense with these higher pitch leads.
I suspect you are needing to configure the motors in Mach3. Is there a profile xml file in the mach3 folder other than Mach3Mill? Check for a custom shortcut on the desktop that accesses a modified...
Ahh, well there is an off the shelf option but it's a little pricey. You can use the lathe spindle along with the ER16 adapters as tool holders. Taig posted a video illustrating this method a while...
I'd just teach everyone how to zero the Z for each tool. Manual jog to a known plane (usually top of stock) and touch off and input position. You can get one of those z touch setter indicators and...
Steelyd - I second Andrew's comments. Taig relies on its network of knowledgeable dealers for customer support. Why don't you try asking your Taig questions here in this forum? Maybe someone here...
Very nice work! Do you have plans to release the plans? I think this would be small enough to build on my tools. -Keith
Steve - Just curious... How did you make these? -Keith
I've got a taig cnc mill with xylotex board and mach3. I'm planning to do some engraving this weekend actually - what specifically do you have in mind? How deep and what size? Just text or images?...
Jeff - Thanks! I am a member of that forum and posted here just before checking there... Hope to have mine installed next weekend. -Keith
Has anyone installed and used the new taig power feed kit on their older lathe? I've just ordered one and am eager to try it out. -Keith
Hey all - I thought I'd drop my findings here regarding a deepgroove1 purchase I made off of ebay a few years back. I picked up the taig cnc mill on ebay for a reasonable price (mine included the...
Nice running engine! Did you ever measure power output or efficiency? -Keith
Hi, I ran across this guy's site a while back - might help you with ideas.
