I'm thinking of taking on a Hardinge HNC retrofit. Has any one had success with one of these lathes? By success I mean capable of running commercial quality parts time after time as well as...
Is there a way to program a variable in a mach3 program that will incrementally add a serial number to a part? For example: part 1= #001 part 2=#002 etc.
Well thats just great. Now all I have to do is find a 555ic for .99 cents and all my troubles will be solved.

Unfortunately the guy who owned them passed away... so no info about the machines. His son said that one of them was running when it was taken out of service. I don't think they are rs232 compatible...
Yes they are both the same! one was reportedly running when it was stored. I think I will try to resurrect it with Mach3 and a Hillbilly bob.
I found them in a barn, bought them from the owner, and now they are in my shop. Also drivers, motors and power supplies for two more machines. Heavy buggers.
I'm just wondering what exact model...
I found these mills in a barn near where I live! Can anyone help me identify exactly what model they are and about how old they are? (I know they are OLD) They say series 1 on the head but I see in...
I too am looking for boss electrical schematic for a Bridgeport Boss. All so does anyone know how to identify which Boss model I have?
