That's a great idea.
What controller do you use?
How did you tell it not move? Is it looking for a voltage?

I'm just getting ready to use a HY vfd and I want to control a couple of ssr's to control the water pump and a vacuum.
Haven't even powered on the VFD yet but I wanna get the wiring done.
So I...
Yeah, I kinda came to that conclusion but haven't tried it yet. Seems like that would be the answer though.
I assume, run the autoprobe, save "probe only", run your example with the "probe only"...
Thinking of adding a rotary axis to my machine and looking for some suggestions.
Right now I use the UCCNC ETH400 with port 1 going to a Gecko G540. All 4 ports are used.
I would like to add the...
Something still missing.
I open a file, set all parameters, click step B in your pic and it is looking to Open another file... What file?
My save gcode adjusted is not available either. Guessing...
Can't find an answer to this and haven't tried on my own yet so i figured I'd ask first.
If I'm using a touch probe in my spindle, can I probe the surface, then put in a tool and cut?
Would I zero...
Not to hijack this but I think my question fits here...
Is one rail on each side of a slaved Y axis enough?
I'm thinking of 20mm Hiwin with 2 blocks on each rail but I've never used them before and...
I'm curious how the base top is secured to the base stands on the EVO?? Is it bolted? Is there enough room to clear the bolt heads on the v bearings?
Joe, Sent you a PM but didn't get a reply... Are you still selling the aluminum plates and bearing adjusters for the Evo?
That's what I thought. The prices there are ridiculous though.
Where do you guys get that drag chain everyone has?
So as an update, I got the on/off working by powering the SuperPID and ESS from the same source. I noticed when they were powered separately the SuperPID "R" would flash. So it was getting the signal...
It's my understanding that the spindle direction in Mach3 IS the on/off.
Pin 16 should be going from 0 to 5v (with 0v being a run command)... why do you say that's a wiring issue?
Interesting. No where in any documentation does it say that. Not very well written documentation to say the least.
I'll try pin 14 for PWM, but that still doesn't explain why I can't even get the...
I bought an ESS and am about to return it but thought I would try here before I do. Apparently the maker of the ESS doesn't answer his support email anymore.
Here's the setup, Mach3 going to the...
Just wondering what the consensus is on putting an anti-backlash nut on both sides of a Z carriage, for the Y axis, and both sides of a gantry for the X axis?
I'm wondering if it will help remove...
No one??
And while I'm at it... why 10 1/2" bearings? I see a need for 6 only.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me... Can't come up with a need for 20 nuts anyway I do it. I can come up with 18, 19 or 22 even, but can't see 20.
Just need to know how many I'll actually...
No, not a line. I want to move the yellow arc so it ends at the blue arc.
Again, the red lines are at z0. So the green arc starts at z0 and ends at z-.325. I need to do the same thing with the...
Hmm, so no one knows or am I not explaining it clear enough??
So I used Bobcad for a while, decided to try mastercam. Trying to redraw something using mastercam only, and can't figure out how to connect these two entities.
On the attachment, the red lines...
and i thank you again! much appreciated
Thanks Widgetmaster!! Perfect answer, I didnt think it was that hard of a question but apparently people like to read further into a question than is actually asked.
I definately want to make a...
I never said anything about cutting 1" in one pass. Don't know why thats even coming up.
I just want to be able to cut it. Doesn't seem too confusing to me but thats just me. thanks.
I mean using a piece of 1 " thick aluminum and cutting it any way I want to. Is it possible? and is it worth the effort of building it? Meaning is the finished product going to be cut right?
So can anyone point me at some plans?
I'll probably only be milling .5" aluminum, maybe .75 at most, but just thought I'd try for the inch.
Hey all,
I was reading around here and I mostly hear about wood mills and routers. I was interested in maybe building a vertical mill for cutting aluminum maybe 1" thick max. Is this possible or is...
ok, is it possible that my designs are just too radical or intricate for bobcad?
has anyone ever designed something that just will not surface for no apparent reason?
I have one design that is...
To all:
I figured it out!
I had one line that was doubled. It wasnt closed with any other chain. I deleted each chain one at a time and did a repaint after each delete and sure enough there it...
