To answer your first question, a heavier or faster feed rate is a heavier thicker chip
why don't you use loop location? if you have multiple vises, with different location, it seems obvious to me to use loop location.
does your machine have the DFX function? IF not you should look into it. That will allow you to load a DFX on the machine then create tool paths right off of the DFX.
I don't know how the cylinder could be to small to use an indicator? but he is right about tramming it in with a best test.
I checked the parm. that cncwhiz suggested, and it was not on. I'm not sure why that post was removed? Can I just enable PWE and then turn it on? I tried with g95 in front, that didn't do it, I got...
Thanks I'll check it. The other thing I'm thinking but have not had a chance to check is that maybe the normal G84 might sync the spindle with the feed every time. Is that possible?
I have a 15M control and the manual talks about using G84.2 and G84.3 to rigid tap. I know that my machine needs a spindle encoder to do this, how do I tell if my machine is equipped with one? I...
We use our OM's like Psycho said. T1 is H1 and D51 and so on. Its acually works out okay.
So your saying G68 R what ever, does not work?
it just gives me the same options. I can use any other number and input and it takes it but not 6
I am running a 15m on a toyoda fh60. I turned the PWE to 00000001 so I could scan through the 9000 programs. I kept hitting FWD SRCH, then NXT Progam, so I could scan though them all. I must have...
I've never used a prode on a hurco, but I still might be able to help. Does the machine move at all on that line or does it error out as soon as it reads it? Also just out of curiosity since none of...
Here is the O series lathes. I hope this works I've never attached anything.
I've never dealt directly with FANUC but I heard they had good customer service. Maybe our mod can clue us in on if CNC Zone would have a problem with it. Oh, and thanks SUN that is actually the one...
I think you should Andre', but write it your self. If your new to G code and your not in a hurry you just need to dive in. If you can use this opportunity to try a loop out such as Andre suggest give...
I was on her looking for a manual for a 15M the other day and got to thinking how nice it would be if all posted what ever manuals we had for Fanuc controllers and made a sort of Library. I have a...
does any have a pdf of a 15M manual?
is it rolled? maybe use a tool holder with a 45degree insert and take it all in one pass, that way you thin your chip there for using less power, allowing you to kick the feed up a a few notches.
so you have tried cutting along the axis at a depth of cut just deeper than the thread depth? The maybe you can plunge them off faster like widget master is saying. You might not even need a tool...
maybe it is for some grease? with a pitch that steep you have to watch out for clearance on the back side of your tool, when you helix it in a mill.
That should only be about .1 a side, have you tried to lower your chip load and take the interrupted cut in one pass.
I'm with CNC-King use a can cycle. If your new to programming read a little about them in your manual, they will save you a bunch of time.
I've never used 5T, but maybe I can help. does it have an edit page?
Here is a link to a list a FANUC variables
http://www.machinetoolhelp.com/Applications/macro/macro_variables.html
I think what andre said would be your best bet. write a macro that check the offset...
Which line are you talking about. Are you wanting surfaces, because and iges would only be a wire frame. If you want surfaces you would have to re draw them, I think.
I don't know about an OT, but on an OM in is#10. first you have to change the PWE on then go to variable 10 and change it from 00000000 to 00010000 or 00010000 to 00000000.
is there a limit switch stuck?
What control are you working with? I don't know if you can have it alarm out if they don't change the work shift, but you can have it stop and tell them to check. Is it the same amount of shift every...
Ok, stay with me here this is kind of hard to explain. What I'm saying is this, say you have five different programs and a fanuc control. First figure out what the variable is for say H1 ( the very...
