Obviously all the power connections have been re-seated with the new power supply. I will try all the other cables and Ram as well.
Do I need to do the CPU?
TIA
Sometimes an hour, sometimes 4. Last night I turned it on to see if what I tried had made a difference. Coincidentally we last power momentarily during the night.
All the house computers rebooted...
Is this Phil going for round #2?
I haven't been here in a while but hopefully some here has a clue to help me with my problem.
I bought a Tormach Control computer with Mach3 about a year ago and it has worked as advertised.
Now...
Does any one know how to use them after they have been written into a post and the manufacturing configuration have been updated?
TIA

Life and work got in the way of time. I still think about it but I have a much bigger project going on for my shop right now.
I think I am going to replace mine with a mechanical switch.
I am pocketing it out so I can remove the Z axis stepper without having to remove the column.
Any Haas post should work fine.
I am actually in the process of pocketing out that area and building a cover with a drain for that same area.
I just use a height gauge on a surface plate with the TSS height gauge ring.
use a trim boundary instead of picking the surfaces.
I am looking for a 5 axis post for Hiedenhain itnc 530 in iso format for any version of NX. Does anyone have one that they can share? I have only been able to find conversational posts so far. It...
Does anyone know what brand the limit switches are on the Tormach?
Thanks,
I haven't listened to the video but I added weather stripping to all my doors to keep them from vibrating.
Looks nice!
For those of you who have a 770 I would like some pictures of the inside of the electrical cabinet. I am about to take on a project and would like to see the layout in picture format instead of...
I have been using Mobil Vactra #2 for 5 years now but I would like to find something different. Any one want to share the brands you are using.
I find the Mobil to be a little 2 thin and appears...
I need to hold a 5/8" shanked tool and don't want to mess with my PDB.
I could swear I saw a post here that had larger side locks in it for TTS.
Any help would be awesome.
So I have used the medium mount to finish rough from 1" down to 2 1/2" down. I tried using the side of the insert first with a small step over but didn't care for the noise.
So using .03 DOC and...
Well, I did buy the 16mm set. The short mount performed well. I tried it 2 ways. 5% woc .335 deep an though it was noisy the insert still looked good at the end. 2500 rpms and 20 ipm.
then I...
It is a "c" shaped part and with the 2 halves put together form an eccentric. I thought of plunge roughing but it would need to be done with an endmill. I need this tooling to finish the part...
Mikini CNC Mini Mill | eBay
You might want to talk to Phil at Mikini, He does buy them back and resells them. Besides that I would say e-bay or craigslist.
Thanks guys,
I was planning on buying all three mounts and a pack of 10 inserts of both grades. Seems like a smart way to go versus buying solid endmills.
I think I want to buy some of the modular tooling but I haven't been able to find any cutting data on the system. Any one know where to look?
Basically I am cutting 3.5" deep in 1018 steel. I...
would it be possible to create one fixture to hold all the parts on a large plate with a single offset?
Allen,
How about a performance update on your conversion.
Chris
What Steve said but I have gone as thin as .125 to cut off the bottom later and make soft jaws frequently for odd shaped parts for the removal of the extra and secondary features.
