Pg. 4-6 has that board

Well, I swapped the armature leads around at the terminal block in the electrical cabinet, and now she’s working. Those two were the only wires cut and reconnected when I removed the motor. Colors...
Trying to source a known working x/y axis DC servo, type MT30M4-38, for my Partner 1 mill.
My attempt at cleaning up the commutator has left me with a motor that runs away when the reset button is...

Is the probe shown as triggered on the Diag screen if you press the tip with your finger?
I need to replace the roller shade on my Partner 1F.
What would be a suitable material to replace it with and source to purchase from? I’m guessing replacement material could by glued with contact...
Update: Seems I've got it figured out. I ended up following the ACR1000 acroloop manual to set the pots in the cardcage, then made adjustments to the Glentek drive pots.
Quick walkthrough if anyone...
Yup, that’s what I followed when I originally set the machine up.
An hour meter was optional, it would be wired and installed on the side of the electrical panel. If that’s not present there’s really no way to know.
Recently replaced my original cardcage with one that already had an SBC update. This new cage also had newer ver2.54 acroloop cards.
Prior to this swap I had the following error adjusted to .05...
Turned out to be a dumb mistake. My machine doesn’t have a spindle encoder, but the Spindle Encoder PPU 1 was set to 2000. Changed it to 0 and now she works like before.

I finally got around to installing an updated Cent V -b control I picked up awhile ago. It already has an SBC upgrade running 5.305 software and v2.54 acroloop cards.
However, now whether the...
You want that topmost error code, error 956.
In the Cent7 manual:
188 Also appears as error 956.
Interface card communication failure
Centurion 7 and 7000 Series only
CNC Version 238 and...
Turns out there's no need to add any jumpers on the board to make this work. A simple edit to the autoexec.bat file will allow the control to work independently.
Going through the troubleshooting...
Well I managed to find one jumper position that allows the control to initialize and load the CNC program.
However, I am unable to make/edit or load any new programs (buttons greyed out) and I...
Long story short, I have access to a Cent7 control panel that was taken off of a VM15-30. I was wondering if it would be possible to use it as an offline trainer/simulator.
Currently I’m able to...
On my control setting that parameter byte turns on/off the G54-Z tab in HDW.
It’s possible that wasn’t an option until the latter software versions (mine is x.305) or possibly not available on the...

Well I was wrong about P899 enabling the PROBE1 and PROBE2 commands.
P899 enables the PROBE and PROBE XY pages (Menu-F10Util) used with Digiscan 2.
Trying the PROBE1 command gives me a error...
According to the Centurion manual, P899 is to enable digitizing/probe. No idea what number it needs to be set to since 1 and 0 aren’t the regular on/off for that parameter. But if you figure it out...
I'm curious if the key words to making this work is Intel, and UHCI.
This I’m interested in. I just started getting into 3d printing and looking into Raspberry Pi and Octoprint to send files and control the printer. Then I thought hey, I wonder if Pi could hook up to...
I did in fact add a jump wire for the -12v trace and I was able to run the mill without a hitch. I should be able to make some chips while I piece together a SBC for this thing after all. Thanks to...
Well, I believe I found the problem. Looks like the -12v trace on the board is corroded to hell from that CMOS battery leak. Probing for continuity from the ATX power header to the -12v pin on the...
I did have the card cage out last fall to clean the card fingers and replace the CMOS battery. I can’t remember if I cleaned the card slots themselves though. I’ll try that again and reseat...
Well, turns out I was wrong, that didn’t help my runaway. Back to square one again.
Checked for 12v +/- at the plug going to the motherboard. Checked out fine. On a whim I unplugged the computer from the 120v line conditioner wired into the machine and plugged it directly into a...
Been awhile since I messed with this. Thought I had the 3-axis runaway figured out, but apparently not. After sitting a couple months its back. So I cleaned the plugs going to the Glentek boards...
Been awhile, but the run away issue has been fixed for a couple months. But with the cold I haven't been out in the garage much to play around with this.
Anyways, the axis run away seems to have...
I'll try cleaning the tachs better, I just simply blew out the carbon dust the first time I was in there. Leaning over into the enclosure to clean them is a bit of a pain.
Now say one of the axis...
On my Partner 1 w/ Cent 5, spindle speed and range can be found under Parm (F7), Setup (F1, Proto3, 3), Misc (F5). Not sure if the spindle is the same as the Partner 1, but I also have to manually...
