We like our ATC and have no problems with it. There is nothing to learn except T1, T2, T3...T6 grabs the appropriate tool.
Mitch,
I will send it when I get home (about 4.5 hours from this post.

Mitch,
Is that parameter value supposed to be 3078 or 3078000? If it's supposed to be 3078000, that would cause the spindle to lower sooner than expected. You could try 3078000 with the feed speed...
Mitch,
No, that is not normal. When you MDI a M6 Tx command, it should travel along the Y axis to within 200mm of the tool rack, then lower the Z. Check parameter 2802, as Taney suggests. We have...
Just an update that our machine is all squared up and tool changes are working. Ready to start production.
A discovery I made on the weekend is that M175 code is for dust hood to lower, and M176...
Shannon, we have tried this, but when we zero it, we are back out 4mm. :(
Thx
I'll give it a shot.
The programs are square. Plunge Z, travel in X, travel in Y, travel in -X, travel in -Y. Straight forward stuff.
From one end of the gantry to the other, the spindle center is 4mm off centre by...
I've also been discussing 886 with Taney. However, parameter 886 only affects the numerical display on the controller, it doesn't affect the physical offset of the drive. The only way to do it is...
Fernando,
We have looked for the macros to control the tool changes and we have not found them. Our machine drops the vacuum hood when it does tool changes and we would like to find the macros to...
Our gantry is out of square to the main rails. Is there a way in the syntech controller software to jog the C axis independently of the Y to get it squared up?
Just wanted to update you that Spencer (BC-CNC) and I have run our first couple of test pieces. We'll do a proper update early next week. In the meantime, here's a pic.
Gerrit,
I have received a post file from enroute for excitech syntec controller. We aren't quite ready to test it yet, but send me a PM with your email address and I can forward it to you.
Blair
gvr,
glad to have someone around with your knowledge of the controller. what is your experience with it, have you recently received a new excitech machine or have you been running the controller...
Don't forget the Canadian owners, ya kiwi! :D:D
He must be at his computer, swift reply.
So basically, it's just a reminder to yourself to check your own vacuum.
Mitch,
No, we don't see any connection either. I've emailed Taney asking. I've thought that maybe it's just a button that tells the controller to 'listen' to a vacuum sensor. But that doesn't...
Taney just wrote me. We've got a t-slot/vacuum combo. When we're using clamps, we don't want the vacuum on, I've asked Taney to clarify.
I'm posting some info Mitch has in the thread here for other users to see.
The process to change language is:
Main Menu-Press LEFT ARROW-F6-F5-input "3209" Enter- Input "0" enter-input password...
Mitch,
I'm back in Alberta now for at least 2 weeks so only Spencer will be in the shop. Sorry I did not get your last post until I had left BC. I'll email Taney asking what AUX1 does. I have a...
Thx Al, we are looking into it now.
Mitch,
This is spencer's business partner. Thx for your help, we cleared those errors. But our spindle is not firing up. The only way we've had it spinning is by manually pushing the start button...
I stumbled across another syntec site I had not seen before.
http://www.syntecclub.com.tw/SyntecHome/synproduct1.htm
Still no operating manual unforunately.
Syntec provides programming manuals and user guides for lathes and mills. You'd think they would produce a router specific one too.
Maybe there is some info here we can use.
Here's the links:...
lgr,
Thanks for the links, good stuff. We are going to have a CSA guy inspect and sticker it for us.

Is anyone using a rotary phase converter with an excitech? We have 240V single phase service. From my understanding, an RPC cannot support any phase to neutral current. We have an inquiry in with...
Cabnet,
Is this it?
http://home.centurytel.net/bwclark/
Looks like it may be our solution. I'd like to have all my software lined up when the excitech arrives.

Cabnet,
I'm now emailing with Ryan. He's informed me it won't do MDF doors, which is a requirement. However, I have sent him a pdf of our design for him to review and let me know if it will work...
Rocket,
We are getting the 1530C with 8kw spindle and auto tool.
I've toyed around abit with the trial version of the VCarve package. Also I've been poking around with Cabinetpartspro, but it...
