Hello to all,
As I mentioned on previous reply I changed parameter 390.7 back to 0 instead of 1 to see what would happen. NOTHING !!! That didn't make a difference. I'am still getting the 14 lines...

Hello,
Thanks for your responses. I have been trying to figure this out for a long time.
As I bought both mills second hand I don't have any Fanuc manual but a 18t.
Parameter 390 bit 7 is the...
Still having an issue with the drip feeding. Sorry to see no one has any

Thanks for all the help around here.
Hi guys,
I'am having a issue with dripfeeding with fanuc omd. It seems to me that my buffer on this machine is about 3 lines instead of the approximate 10 lines.
Is this possible??? How or which...
You can aswell "Trim " the rectangle from the pocket toolpath.
Hello to all,
I' am having a small problem with my control.
First of all I have 2 mills both using Fanuc Om.
I set up the drip feeding on both and they both work just fine.
Sending/Recieving...
Hello There,
There's a magnet on the spindle. And a sensor on the housing or something fixed not to the spindle. When you do the orientation the spindle stops exactly where the magnet and sensor...
I need to rough mill the 2 ends. I have Mill Level 3.
The problem is that I can't use Surface Rough Pocket cause it only uses 2D containment boundary. I don't want to be milling on the side of the...

Never did this before.
Thanks in advance for the help
Greetings, Stephan
Thanks but no! All operation defaults are set how I like it. But as soon as I make 1 toolpath with any parameters set, mastercam will use these automatically for the next set of "same" type of...
Hello,
I was wondering if I could TURN OFF the whatever makes mastercam keep previous toolpath parameters for the following toolpaths.
This is especially irritating when having used "control" as...
Hello to all,
I just upgraded to X4 and win7. Now I keep getting "Encountered an improper argument" to evey yellow checkbox in "Edit tool"
It prompts me this twice at evey checkbox. I can't find...
Hello to all....
Does anyone have any idea how to use the lock/unlock features for the 4th axis?
I've set my post to "use the codes" and set the right codes in the post.
Now I know I have to set...
I guess the 3+1 is a standard mill with and 4th axis. Usually set on the x-axis.
A 3+2 might be a tilting 4th axis which makes it possible to set the 4th to an angle and the rotate the "chuck" on...
I found out why this happend. I needed to mark the "auto detect flats" and the "adjust for stock to leave on drive surfaces" in the "cut depth"parameter page.
Also needed to put max. depth to 39.3...
I have had some problems with that as wel. All looks good in mastercam but the post just messes it up so machine does not do what it needs to do.
Sinds then I always use center of 4th axis as WCS.
Hi guys,
I'am having some trouble with the rough pocket.
I have a solid block with curves and flats on it to mill and my WCS z-axis is 15 mm under the stock. Max depth is Z-39.
I have "stock to...
Hi guys,
Does anyone know how to change the TFT display brightness on a Fanuc 21iT?
I did it about 2 years ago but never wrote it down. Stupid me!
Thanks
Just open the post in editor and delete all "$n" in the lines, except the ones in the tool call line. Save your post under another name before you configure anything.
Then go in machine...
So by picking the named plane instead of the WCS you create a new plane but stil with the same WCS as the one you reference from?
Guess I've been doing it all wrong then.
Thanks!
I bet the 2 wrong axis's are the bottom and the back!
Take a piece of paper and draw your axis's on it. Now turn the paper in the direction your 4th axis turns. Now you see the axis's don't match...
Your turns and curve could be caused by the post. Not that the post is bad. You may need to set the Control Diffinition Manager. Set arcs to "break at quadrants" .
I'am not sure if this is the...

Maybe You fixed it, maybe not. But here's my answer to your problem anyway. Alarm 085 is a Fanuc alarm for buffer overflow. You can fix this by setting the baudrates correct. Parity should be even,...
That was it!
Thanks
Don't bother about the red X's. I have some too. But my programs still get send.
Just check if your programs are being send/ recieved.
If you want to know what CD, CTS, DSR ,RTS etc. etc. is about...
