Here is a caster idea for you. The first was what I was going to do, second is what i did. Used adjustable heavy duty leg levelers under each leg and mounted 4" casters just a little off the...
Here is a picture of my setup - I did it this way so that I did not take away from the upper table surface. It has worked very well for my purposes. Here is a LINK to my build thread. ...
Another way to mount it and still have 100% use of the full table is to mount it on the end. I did this here in my thread on post # 116 ...
It has been a while since last post. I did get everything hooked up and running smoothly on the indexer. I just ordered these items to complete the package.
- Bosch 1617 EVS router motor...
Yes you can add them later. As you go along you will find out what works for your machine. Adding some MDF or Plywood to the bottom braces will also give you a storage area as wells as a place to...
I have the 4848 Pro model and did my table similar to yours. I used heavy wall metal 2 1/2" square tubing to build my table and I have not seen any type of shaking or movement. I also have heavy...
Yes I made a change in the general config section in mach3 to check or enable slave to home.
Not sure if I understand the question. The indexer is mounted slightly below the surface of the spoil board table so that I have not lost any of my upper table surface cutting area.
Here is where all the information about the indexer and table build are. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/cnc-router-parts/197630-cnc-autocad-software-10.html
I would be glad to answer any questions...
I am trying to swap the A-Axis which is slaved to the X-Axis, changing it to B-Axis. I have transferred the settings from A-Axis to B-Axis , changed the A-Axis slaved to X-Axis to B-Axis and...
Received all the items I ordered from CNCRouterParts for adding additional power supply and Gecko drive for the indexer. Will start on adding the new items in a day or so, then design a mount for...
The worm gear is 20:1
Wow that is a nice table...hard to beat the metal base. Looking forward to the build!
Now that I have got the indexer working and cutting from my files I will move on to stage two of the project. Setting up the indexer on its own axis "A" with it's own Gecko Drive and power supply. ...
I am not sure if it is the right place to air out bad customer service. I normally would not suggest a vendor that had such poor customer service, however if you are really interested P.M. me and I...

Finally built a few mounts for the front of the table to hold the rotary axis. Now I can use the full size of the table without the rotary axis getting in the way.

Well I finally was able to cut a little on a used bat that I had sitting around. The first way was to mount the bat in a cradle that was fastened to the table and cut just like you were cutting a...
Spoke with Cory at CNCrouterparts and he was able to give me a little instruction. So for this weekend I will attempt the following.
-Copy my current default xml file that I am using and rename...
Nice I love the metal based table. You will be very happy with the rigidity of the table. How are you going to finish it? If you are not familiar with Hammerite paint it is a great product that...
Working on getting this thing going along the X-axis. Got everything wired up and turning. Now I just need to figure out how to configure it properly......I admit I do feel lost with this one, so i...
I purchased it from a source on the internet. Since the experience with them was less than professional I would prefer not to send anyone down that path. When I asked for paperwork on the stepper...

Can you shine some light on how you set up the lathe or how you went about setting up Mach3? I believe I will need to set mine up along the X-Axis instead of at the end of the table like yours.
That's really great keep me informed on how that is going. I will be working on getting things right in mach3 this evening and hopefully doing a few test cuts with the new axis.
So have you been using the new lathe set up? I just got a few things working on mine , still have to program mach3 but have it turning a jogging.
Here are a few pictures from a new advertisement kiosk I am working on for a client.

Many have done exactly that over on the shopbot forum. Go over to their forum they have a part of the forum just for "indexer". There are several how to's to show exactly how it is done.
