It would not be 3/4" off.. If the tool is facing up it is on the bottom with the block on top. If the tool is facing down the tool is on the top with the block on the bottom.. either way the tool tip...
Block should be on the bottom of the tool like the picture here SBL Lathe Update 2: Tooling Options | Milling Around
The machine is designed to be used with the tools facing down in the turret. It makes absolutely no sense that Tormach decided to give directions showing to use it with the tool facing up. Put a tool...
Getting a Haas ST-20SS with bar feeder.
No but I can take some.. although it looks just like everyone else's I imagine lol. The only thing I have done is made a monitor arm that attaches to the...
I am selling my lathe.. Located in Idaho Falls, ID
15L Slant-PRO™ CNC Lathe

Turret
Full enclosure

Manual collet closer
Forgot I put this on here.. The guys at Tormach gave me a solution that did work. First we changed the 2D contour so that it left enough material and then we did a 5d contour to finish it to the...
oops.. did not read whole thread
I got a 19" ELO off Ebay for $99 and it has worked great since the last pathpilot patch.
I found it easy to accidently change offsets when working in the offset table. But other than that the only issue I have had is that my X axis limit switches do not seem to set the same offset each...
I have attached the file. Sprutcam shows that it will overcut the path and I went ahead and machined the parts thinking it was a graphical issue but it is not. Any ideas on how to get it to cut...
Wow they do a pretty crappy job of notifying customers of new products.
good info.. I had mine drop speed when playing with the probe as well.
Might just be something with my programs but no matter which view I select I cannot get a decent view to show up. They showed up perfect every time in Mach.. same programs.
I was not aware of the...
1. Enter shortcut for MDI
2. Better support for touchscreens
3. Better graphical display.. mine always seems to be off the viewable screen.. maybe there needs to be a refresh option?
Is there...
yes.. the enter key like before..
Yes.. to me it seemed to move faster on the first touch off and then slower on the second touch off for more precision I guess.
It does show 3.15 on one of the screens.. it works the same as before. I set 0 on the table and then use the ETS sitting on that and it works just fine.
I did thread milling on PP v1.6 the other day and starting at the top and going down worked just fine.
Unless I missed something this is still a standard computer so the worst case is you have to reinstall using the CD. Not sure why you would think you can "brick" it unless that term is being used...
good questions.. I would like to know as well.
I had my son look at my lathe software last night and it was Ubuntu and gnome or something like that. I know nothing about Linux but I can probably get him to answer any basic questions you have. We...
What issues are there with the touchscreen?
That was me agreeing with Russ..
Please share who you finally got insured by. I ran into the same issue with most companies wanting to do all or nothing type of insurance when all I wanted was to insure the machines/inventory.
I have my enclosure installed and turret mounted but not wired yet. Should be fun setting it up.
The enclosure is pretty nice but not having a full width door makes using the tailstock a pain when...
Am I looking at this wrong or is this going to limit Z axis travel? Hard to tell from a single one view picture.
It said 20"
So when you open the door the coolant is going to run down the right side of the machine and drip all over the floor?
Maybe there is a channel at the bottom of the door? I guess I will still buy...
