Thanks MC,
I'm sure that's what I missed! The program was still in G99 mode. I had to move the machine to a new location, so it may be a few weeks before I get it wired up again.
Thanks again!...

Hello everyone...and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I've been having lots of fun with my old Tsugami cnc swiss.
I tried programming the, "Y" axis today, live tool turret. No matter what I do, I can not get...
Colby2000,
Unfortunately this scenario is all too common, especially among the young guys. They gain a bit, and I do mean A BIT, of experience and suddenly they are "GOD'S" gift to the machine...
and finally i cant stress enough, buy good material. the fastest way to crash a swiss is too have a guide bushing lockup and a main slip and all the sudden your part is 1/2" longer and your .040...
Thanks Mike!
I'll try that in the morning. I'm fairly certain that it doesn't have a programmable "C" axis; as far as simultaneous spindle "C", "Y" axis moves. The "C" axis buttons are just...
I would have never figured that this old machine would recognize "R" in the program for radii. Usually on older turning/milling machines you have to give it an I,J,K value. After figuring out how the...
The first person to give me the G&M codes & the canned cycles for this old Tsugami NT20 with a "Fanuc 0TB" control, will get a cashiers check for $100.00 sent snail mail Guaranteed.
As I had figured, the previous programmer had added in some extra clearance to the "Z" axis offsets. I can't even understand why! I set zero to zero and then ran the program...worked fine for me! I...
MCImes,
Thank you!!!
Your description was excellent. I assumed the same, but I wasn't sure. Again...Thank you! I called Alro and asked them if they had Swiss ready brass. They said that thier...
I'm new to swiss, and I didn't get the manuals with this machine.
How snug should the forward collet be adjusted? Should it be a slip fit, or slightly tight?
Tsugamiinfo, good morning
I did contact the service department at Tsugami north america in Connecticut. Kevin sent me a .pdf of the operation manual for the NP/NT 11&17. These machines are...
I got the tool off-sets figured out, and made a part yesterday. Does anybody have the g-code string that turns on the live tools. I can index the turret and touch the tools off, but I don't know the...
TsugamiInfo,
Thank you for your help!
I've been programming CNC's since the late 80's, but this is a whole different learning curve. I've been reading up a bit, and the tool offsets are giving...
Hello,
I recently bought an older Tsugami CNC swiss with live tooling. It's a 1991 NT20 with a Fanuc 0T control...B series. I was wondering if anyone else out there may have one of these older...
