in IPR it just stops when it gets to a G01
in IPM is goes at full rapids no matter what feed I have in there and the speed control doesn't work as well in IPM
in Dry run with a G01 is works fine...
We got all the parameters up all the bugs worked out with the exception of when the machine goes to feed in G01 it stops and sits there like its waiting for something.
no lights no error alarms....

The 900 parm needed to be installed to turn on menus so we could actually insert the diag parms.

putting 2 6" angle locks and a has 210 on the same table will be almost useless on a vf2ss.
when you try to use the rotary your vice will be in the way and when you want to face parts on the...
The riser on the right works out best, Mines behind the rotary 210 on my vf2ss. Haas sells a riser which I bought with the machine, all it is, is alum you can make one in 20 mins.. I believe its 3/4"...
I do a ton of surfacing (stainless and alum)and a ton of plastic parts as well. I have found the best stuff is evap cooler pads from lowes or home depot. even use ac filters when I don't have time to...
You CANNOT use thread wires to check anything but thread pitch DIA. no ifs ans or butts about it. you can use any size thread wires that fit, you just need to calculate it out.
a thread gage ( go...
My guess and I am usually 100% correct, is you bought a cheap tap. ;)
F'n great. so your techs are freaking clueless.
That may explain why I have bad chatter on long endmills , cant run standard endmill on anything and my fadal and supermax can out run my Haas....
Matt if they last half as long as my alumastar endmills I would be happy.
I am getting 6-8 months on the 3/8 endmill and 1/2" endmills using them every day for alum and lots of cutting and hogging ....
Not according to the haas engineers and my HFO here. unless they changed them sence 2009.
If this machine has Ceramic bearings I am going to be one pissed off MF'r cause that will explain the...
Matt
the alumastar 3 fluters are one of the best drills I have ever used.
were drilling the 3/8 holes now. went with the low limit for starters and going to let that run that way for a while till...
Emails suck, call them and talk to them.
all the spindles are pretty much the same from haas as far as bearings
then get the 10k option
12k and below are stainless bearings not ceramic like the...
Personally I wouldnt touch a 15k spindle unless all I did was surfacing.
Before we bought our vf2ss I talked in length with the techs at haas about the 15k spindle. the 15k spindle has ceramic...
for the .008 and 009 problem, check the tightness of your probe for the inch problem i wouldnt run it
Matt we used them back in the mid 90's when they just started getting popular. used them for 303 stainless in the omniturns and 9310 gear steel in the big lathes. they worked pretty good. We used...

Matt doesnt make much sence to me either, However I didnt run the speeds and feeds via any book I adjusted to max via sound.
Its funny cause the 1/2" cut far better and smoother.
the only thing I...
Never even thought about carbide cause I had pecking on my mind. Not a bad idea.
plus eliminating the spot drill will save a ton of time in the long run. thanks Geoff.
Matt tried the...
I have a job that requires 50 holes per part. finish isnt a big deal cause we have to mill .020 out after the drilling. the depth is about .750 deep in alum 6061.
hole ranges are 3/8 7/16 and 1/2
...
you said ball nose and surfacing. if your plunge or down feed heavy?
is your tools tight in your tool holder? if your using screw in style holders it might be time to replace the lock screw.
I...
Recently changed to a 3/4" sandvik indexable , was able to run 3 times faster. I ran with flood coolant and my inserts lasted 1.5 parts longer.
Reason being I think was because I had to drill tap...

kinda like the inside lights that have the on off switch on the right side of the panel. below the usb port. I have one on mine for the inside lights....
You should ALWAYS program and run to the dims Printed and NOTHING ELSE.
There are reasons why a 2 place decimal is listed on some prints and not 3 in the NOTE box a 2 place decimal will have a...
