It's running a centurion v, with a single board computer.
I was running the machine up until a couple days ago, and shut it off later in the evening. When I tried to turn it on the next day, I just got a white screen and the lighted buttons on the control...
I've had luck tapping with standard ER collets up to 1/2" with no problems.
I like the Bilz system- My Flexarm tapping machine uses the clutched version, and I haven't broken a tap in...maybe a...
I don't know if anyone else has the MP4 tool probe on their milltronics Partner 1, but I am working on building logic to do automatic tool breakage detection simply by checking the "break control"...
Following this, I'm curious as well. I have a bunch of books with wiring diagrams, so I'll go dig and see if I happen to have the one for rigid tapping.
I have the manual scanned but can't upload...
hang on, my link seems bad. Lemme go find the right one for ya (assuming the sensors are all the same, which they might not be)
Edit: Here...
Bought a replacement prox switch from Bob, apparently my machine's wiring changed at one point or another and the switch connector didnt match up. Swapped the connector out, and it turns out my...
Thanks! That document looks like a great resource. Appendix J talks about the screen I have, but does not go into much detail. Memory tools and PC104 commands. I suspect I would need someone familiar...
On my phone, so apologies if this post skips some detail.
Bought a used VM3 recently, installed, etc. Things were great. It was missing vqc and probing files because the previous owner wiped it....
I'll give you a call this afternoon. It seems to happen only after the spindle has run for a while.
I've been running my Partner 1 as a secondary mill for a few months now and it's largely been an excellent machine.
Today though, it dropped a tool when depositing it back into the ATC, and then...

Fair enough. I'm working on getting it either running over serial or networked to a win10 pc per this post, also picked up a USB to floppy adapter. Gotta get files to this thing somehow. So far no...
Yugami- Could you give some more info on how you set it up on the pi? I'd love to be able to get that running, but I'm not great when it comes to command line stuff in DOS and Linux. I have Pis...
Hopefully it helps the next person who runs into this!
Now to stick it all back together, clean it up, drop some proper windows in, and we might just have a running machine. I'll poke my head over...
There was a fluorescent light in the enclosure flickering...causing noise in the 110v line...causing the Estop signal intermittently...flickering lights, I tell you.
Sigh.
Well, it works now....
It doesn't give an instantaneous E-stop when I let go of reset. Sometimes it will last up to a minute before it goes back into Estop, other times it's just a few seconds. I'll call wednesday.
I'll give that a go, haven't tried unplugging an axis driver yet.
I've got a '93 Partner 1 with a strange issue.
When I turn it on, it boots normally to the estop message. I can press reset and clear it, and home the machine.
After somewhere between 2 and 60...
What's the easiest way to do that? I haven't had succcess dumping them to a CF card, I just get an "IO ERROR 99". Haven't tried RS232 yet but I can do that next.
An update on this:
I replaced the B axis amp and motor/encoder and I finally have a screen clear of alarms HOWEVER I still can't jog or ZRN the B axis. I've tried resetting the zero with the 1815...
Replaced B axis driver, no change in behavior.
The E-stop button isn't pressed, and I don't have voltage at the button but I have continuity on the gnd line
It looks like there are maybe a few things in series with it that could cause this. I am...
How would I do that?
I have everything set up to try and send over serial, but I am stuck in MDI. The machine seems to think it's in Estop even though the switch isn't activated and as far as I can...
Gents, I have a tough one for you (or maybe not, I might get lucky).
I'm getting a 410 Servo Alarm (B Axis Excess Error) on my KIA lathe with a FANUC 0i-TB.
I picked it up used about a year...

Send me an email at [email protected] when you get the chance, I may be able to help out with this.
Thanks!
Hmm, fusion took them no problem on my end. In any case, I'll go back to lurking :)
Dudes, it's a parasolid. Download Fusion 360, it plays nice with pretty much everything. The file probably came from NX or something- IIRC Siemens owns the X_T/parasolid format.
Try House Of Plastics Unlimited here in Orlando, FL. I buy drop materials off of them occasionally, and I know they have a large 5-axis router and do that sort of work on a regular basis. Molds,...
