In that case, you could do the bore first on a mill, then mount the part on a big expanding arbor (you'd have to make that), finally turn all the features on both sides.

The easiest would be to start with a longer piece of stock, say 5", machine all the features, then part it off.

Some of the chinese machines have a problem with the r8 tooling. I think it has to do with the key. Try measuring and comparing, also try searching the web, I'm sure its out there.
