Are you trying to work off the common shift?
If so G54-G59 will always be active, but if you leave those as zero, the machine will shift whatever value you have in the common work shift.
The...
What control do you have?
Are you trying to increase or decrease the rapid speeds?
What axis are you trying to change?
You can not reset cycle time when running in continous mode.
I've successfully written to the Common shift as well as G54-G59 but the command line requires an "L"
G10 L1 P0 X_____ Z_____ etc.
This was used on a Mori NL series with the Mitsubishi...
Are you trying to write to the common shift or to G54, G55 etc. ?
What machine model and control?
Set CAPS NC SPEC Parameter 81 = 2
I think it posts it on it's own line though.
You can buy an option called Mori Post, which will give you full control of editing your CAPS post.
Mori's MSX-504 III control is a Fanuc 0i with MAPPS III software.
I haven't had my hands on a NMV yet but the three axis NV series is a great machine.
Buy the NV. The Dura series has a 0i control that is fully loaded, but it cannot be upgraded with any options in the future.
The 18i on the NV is full of options you can add in the future if need...
You shouldn't need to close the door to do any of the things you mention. The only thing you can't do with the door open is run in full auto mode, you must be in single block.
As far as doing a...
What kind of problems are you having? Is it a 60, 120, 180 ATC?
I work for a Mori dealer and can probably help with some more detail.
Just FYI, you can purchase a pc version of CAPS to do your programming offline. Call Boldt and ask for a quote on Mori AP-L, just don't expect good luck installing it on a Vista computer.
You can put that Y axis shift value in your geometry offset page and then CAPS can be set to output a "Y0" when the tool positions. Let me know if you need the CAPS parameter for the Y0 output.
Set MAPPS parameter 1186 = 1
This turns on page 2 of the I/O settings and you will be able to change parity, stop bits etc.
It would be a big help if you can post the G10 line that is causing the error.
First off, you didn't state if you are using a CF card. It must be a CF card. Then pop it in your pc and format the card using the FAT file system. DO NOT use the FAT32 system.
Lastly make sure...
For future reference, the ladder diagram that comes with your machine has a machine specific m-code list in it. It is by far the most accurate m-code list for the machine.
Contact Yasnac directly, I think the phone number is 1-800-YASKAWA
They should be able to help.
Contact your local Mori Dealer and ask for .pdf versions of the programming manuals for each lathe. I know they have access to them because I email them to our customers all the time. If you're in...
1st Question: Does the turret have the pin that should extend to engage the steady rest?
2nd Question: What model and manufacturer of steady rest did you buy?
Try Buck Chucks...

Are you getting an alarm or is it just over/under cutting?
Try cancelling comp on a dummy Z move instead of the X move.
Thanks.
That might be all I need. I just need to calculate current position from center of rotation and then calculate new X and Z at whatever angle the B is rotated too and then write those...
Looking for a macro that will recalculate work offsets when B axis is rotated.
Starting with X and Z zero as center of rotation and Y zero as pallet surface. I want to be able to recalculate a...
Congrats...
You will love these lathes.
Are these your first Mori's?
Have you tried calling Mitsubishi?

There is no over travel release button on a NL lathe.
Go to the tailstock settings page and change the approach and thrust positions so there is a large difference between the two. Then you...
You simply have to adjust the parameters for the presetter.
Fanuc controls should be parameter 5015 for ID tools and 5016 for OD tools.
Mitsubishi controls should use parameters 2015 and...
You have all purchased a machine tool that will last 20+ years. The tooling cost is expensive up front, but what does that figure out to over 20 years? Unless you have operators that crash the...
