Hi all,
I'd like to know of any GCC / Laserpro suppliers in Australia. I purchased a 30watt Spirit GX a bit over a year ago from an Australian distributor and i just want to keep my options open...
Hi Hubery, are you using windows vista? THAT may be the problem
Hi Sap,
Thanks for the reply, you've given me extra confidence thank you. It's a synrad tube which i've read are the better of the two. It's my first laser but i've been programming laser cutters...
I know that somewhere on this forum a guy made a clock from mdf, gears and all. It only kept time for 24 hrs then needed winding but still pretty cool to replicate
If it's got a bit of shape to it instead of the old round clocks you'll get some interest
Yep I'm a big fan of the old outlaws (aussie ones) especially Ned, he had good reason for doing what he done and if he'd have pulled off the train wreck as planned i'd say he'd have been one of the...
I decided to start a new thread about the Laser so i don't disrupt the flow of this thread, if you want to see it or ask me questions please check it out here...
Hi all, I just purchased and had commisioned my first laser. It's a Laserpro Spirit GX 30watt. I'm happy with it so far but would like peoples experiences, advice etc if they also have one. Plus some...
Yep, lovin every minute of it too. I have tested everything within arms length. This thing absolutely flies. The main axis runs at 2 metres per second, it's a blur to watch. So now everyone that...
That's fantastic news kent, it's great to see that they will diversify to suit peoples needs. When i bought mine i didn't even think to ask about options i thought it was WYSIWYG. I'd definitely get...
I use double sided tape. I'll post some photos tomorrow night. Plus some of the work i've done on my exitech
Scott
Excellent. I'll be buzzin tomorrow too when i get the laser:rainfro:
Well done mate :) . First cut is a buzz hey? I was s%#ting myself when i first ran mine, now i do it casually almost with my eyes closed
Wow $250 thats ordinary. what size machine did you get? mine may have been less due to the size
Yep, I thought they might have changed that by now. I had to have mine refumigated before they would release it(flame2). Just pay the extra $120 so you can get it and start makin chips.
By the way...
Does anyone think we could justify asking Paul (cncadmin) for a subforum for the exitech routers or for chinese routers in general? Especially considering this thread alone has almost 600 posts and...
100% correct rocket, sorry kent the thread hijacking thing was meant to be a joke. I still think i might be right about the controller though.
Wow i just had a flick back through some pages on...
to the people having issues with BCC! Are you running 64bit vista or 32bit vista? I run xp but have heard there are a lot of issues with 64 vista. This may be an answer to your problems. I don't...
Hi Kent,
I think your best option is to start a new thread with this question that way people will find it easier to find your specific question (thread hijacking is punishable by death in some...
Hi Lee
My tool sensor isn't attached to the machine at all, it's just an old manual jobby. I lower my z in .1mm increments till i can't move the piece of paper (my tool sensor) anymore. "Voila"...
It's one hell of a solid little machine isn't it.:)
Thanks Guys
Howzat: It's a GCC laserpro explorer 60watt I'm currently setting up my garage for it now (my printer had a breakdown last night, so i'm setting up before the mad rush begins again) I...
Thanks Mate,
My main aim with it is laminated plastic labels. Like on switchboards etc. But you can mark on almost anything with these little things. Leather, stone timber etc. and quite easily too....
Hey rocket, you WILL crash it. But you will also learn from your mistakes. I've broken a 19mm endmill by cutting into a finger clamp, didn't that make some noise and (stupid of me) crashed my...
Great to see all the machines arriving now. Good on you all for sticking with this thread and making it all alot easier for anyone that plans on buying one of these machines. I've sat silent for a...
Hi Keith,
They speak English
Scott
You'll have a router. You can cut one yourself :)
Yep the ZHB....... program gives you a toolpath preview on the computer and also sends the file to the controller. I haven't really looked into it much cause it's a bit buggy. But it does what i...
You're absolutely right. Steppers, rails and screws are all standard sizes. As for the spindle it's easy to make your own mount if you get another one.
Hi Kustom,
It's through a program bundled with the machine ( ZHBDSPhandheldhost as it's called as a file or signtek as it's called in the program:confused:)and yes it gives you a preview, It doesn't...
