At first glance, it looks like it would be easy to tip over.
I was able to use one of the generic post processors before I added my ATC.
I decided to see how the collet fit in my spindle. See here: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/tormach_personal_cnc_mill/211146-tormach_tts_r8_collet_engagement.html#post1435880
A conversation in another thread made me decide to checkout how well the TTS collet fits into the spindle. I've seen this mentioned on the forum before, and since I've had tools pull out from time...

Mine didn't fit from the factory. But I wanted a coolant system that would flood chips out of pockets and that system wouldn't have contained the coolant system anyway.
In another thread someone mentioned buying the metal version of the locline. I think that is probably a good investment. I can't count the number of times I tried to position my plastic hose, only...
Scott,
Are you still happy with this solution?
As you mentioned before, with the flat base, the coolant doesn't drain well at all. I know you said it wasn't much of an issue for you, but...
Here is my tool table spreadsheet, if you are interested
This is what I do. I keep track of the tools in an Excel spreadsheet, and also enter the information in Mach 3. If I ever need to change a tool, I update the information in both places at the same...
Mike,
How will you re-grind the collet to the correct angle?
Why is looking at the screen on the pendant any easier than looking at the monitor?
When you say chuck, do you mean collet?
I like the idea of a skimmer for the coolant tank, although my $30 plastic bin from walmart works pretty well. He needs to put some real pictures on his web site, the blurry edges like like they...
You will probably find that GWizard recommends F&S that are faster than the machine can handle. At least that has been my experience. It's not a HP problem, but a rigidity problem.
Before I spend any more money on an enclosure, I need to fix my chip tray issues. It doesn't drain very well, and once the coolant starts to puddle, it leaks in several spots.
I prefer my shower curtains over coroplast. I can see through it, and easily move it out of the way if I need to.
I bought Sprutcam when I bought my Tormach, and for me, it was a huge waste of money. Simple things, like importing the part and positioning it relative to the stock, were too complicated to be...
Steve,
I'm sure you've had great success with your Tormach, but I have a hard time accepting your opinion as unbiased, since you are a consultant for Tormach.

I've had similar frustrations with the Tormach manuals. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/tormach_personal_cnc_mill/175108-tormach_manuals.html#post1245642
Why would you be afraid of clamping directly to the table if you never get pullout?
Lots of info here:

Is the ATC supported on linuxcnc? The Tormach web site makes it sound like you have to run Mach with the ATC.
I'm pretty sure I know which tool was having the problem, I just couldn't figure out why. Thanks again for the help.
Thanks Ray. I wasn't able to come up with an explanation that makes any sense, but yours does. I'll have to check the torque on my draw bar. I probably need to check the collet fit also. I know...
I spent the last week running a batch of parts. When it was all said and done, I ended up losing 20% of the parts, and I have no idea why.
Before I started the batch run, I spent some time...
The hole table has to be turned on in the Environmental Variables. (Sure seems like it would be easier to set this in the preferences, but it is what it is.)
...
There is a hole table feature in drafting. I'll try and post more info when I get to work.
My Tormach TTS take a 22mm wrench, the Chinese ones take a 26mm wrench. Not a big deal, I can easily afford a new wrench with the money I saved over buying from Tormach. I hadn't seen it mentioned...
I finally had the need to use one of these tool holders, and have one tiny complaint. It takes a different wrench than the Tormach tool holders. Not a huge deal, as I had an adjustable wrench that...
