I need to V-Carve some text into an old piece of barn siding which is cupped. What is the best method to relax this piece of wood so it will sit flat for carving? There is no second chance at this.
Sorry to say that they will not have much value. If they were brand names like Starret etc it would be a different story. You can go to ENCO as they sell a lot of imported tools and get some idea...

I'm sure I read somewhere that there was a newer version. It may have been related to the boards that come in the case. What I mean by old info is some of the dates on their site are 2006 I think.
I built my cnc in the fall of 2006 using the four axis Xylotex V 4.00. I have had no problems. I'm sure there is a later version of this board. If my board goes bad, will the newer board be a direct...

Get the hole slightly under sized, cool the pins and heat the receptacle and push them in.
My dies fit 1", 1.5", and 2" OD tubing. I guess that's why they call it a tubing
roller.
Harbor Freight has a tubing roller that comes with 3 sets of round dies
1"..1.5" & 2" .......for $159. For another $50 you'll get a set of 1/2" dies
for square. I plan to open up my square dies to...
I upgraded Jan of 2008. As far as I know I have no issues. Should I leave well enough alone?
Mine is 60x60 inch and I have 4 steppers and use 3/4" x 6tpi screws from Enco. I did make my own nuts from bronze for a better fit. I use a Xylotex
driver and can get 80 ipm and have no whip. They...
My table is 60" x 60" with a 49"x49" cutting area. It has a 2.5 hp router. I run speed of 60-80 ipm. Not fast but fine for this application. I have Aspire now that does 3D relief.

I made my CNC router in the fall of 2006. I use the 4 axis driver with 4 495 steppers and it works well. Is the newer 4 axis driver weaker based on the lower vref settings?
I have some bearings I bought from ENCO. They are 1" ID and 2" OD. The number on the bearing is R16RS. I'm sure this # just gives type and size. I have no other data on the bearing. Is there a way...
